Warning: this chapter sucks! Lol, I rushed it, I'm not going to deny it. But I was really happy with the reads, and my next upload won't be until a while. So for now... stick with this! It's crappy & short, but I hope it'll do. And you'll probably see this chapter be edited before I post the next chappie, because, well, it really does suck and I'm not kidding:(
But anyway, I still hope you enjoy!;)
P.S. Please, read my new story! It's called One Step Too Late, and if you like TNSPG, you'd love OSTL!! External link! :) --->

Chapter Twelve
“Edmund?” I asked, waving my small hand in the air at him. Edmund whipped pieces of hair out of his eyes, and they turned wide once they saw me. We held a staring contest for two seconds that seemed more like five minutes, before he immediately looked away and continued settling down our food.
“Edmund?” I repeated, and the people at the table were all staring at me.
“Pardon, Madam, mais je pense que vous avez trompé.” Edmund said, the French running out of his mouth. I didn’t understand a single word of it, and right when I was about to ask what the heck he said, Edmund had already walked away, leaving me speechless and dazed.
“What was that?” Emily asked, her jeweled fingernails snapping at the edge of the table. She quirked en eyebrow at me, and I shrugged.
“Does anyone know what he said?” I asked, staring wickedly at the people around me. Everyone shook their heads except for Jacob, Emily and Charlie.
“He said you’re a fat worm who doesn’t even know what escargot is.” Emily said, a small smirk pulling at her lips.
“Excuse me?”
Jacob and Jenna snickered, while Charlie shook her head. “He said you’ve been mistaken. He’s supposedly not Edmund.”
I frowned. Not Edmund? That was definitely Edmund. There was no way I’d ever mistaken him. That beautiful hair, those eyes, that had to be the cashier back at the candy shop from before. And mind you, that French accent wasn’t mistakable either. “But it was.”
“Who’s Edmund?” Queenie asked, her eyes shooting me a very tentative smile.
“He’s someone I met from before; he worked at the candy shop.” I said. Why would he say he wasn’t?
“Yeah right you know someone like that. He’s hot, by the way.” Emily remarked, picking at the pasta in front of her. Which then reminded me of my own dish, which was whatever Escargot is.
“Jacob’s hotter.” Jen suddenly piped, and everybody was staring at her incredulously. Jen turned into an immediate shade of pink and purple, and she ducked her head down. That was obviously not meant to be heard by us.
“If you haven’t realized, there are two types of hot. Edmund, or whatever that waiter was, is French guy sexy. Jacob is well… your typical American-
“Canadian,” Jacob muttered.
“Whatever. Typical Canadian look. But of course, I’m not saying you’re not good looking.” Emily finished, wiping her mouth.
“Just not as sexy as that waiter back there,” Jenna assured, nodding her head. Charlie and I burst out laughing, and before I knew it, Jen and Queenie had joined in. Jacob was blushing and looking quite angry, and Emily continued dabbing at her pasta.
