CHAPTER FIVE
Soon the sun was shining brightly in Rhea and Rakshay’s eyes. They woke up and realized that they were still sitting on the couch, hugging each other. They started laughing and got up. Rhea walked into the kitchen to see Mehr already awake, making three cups of hot coffee. Mehr looked up at Rhea and gave her a smile and a knowing look. Rhea walked over to Mehr and hugged her. She told Mehr what happened last night and she said that it felt good when Rakshay came over to console her. They took the coffee and some bread out into the living room and the three of them had breakfast together.
                              Triiiiiiiiiiiing
                              Rakshay’s phone began to ring.
“Hello? Oh hi… yeah… umm… hmm yeah… no at Rhea’s… yeah… why… oh okay… no she’s really upset… of course man… what the hell did you do to her? Oh really? Hmm I’m not sure that’s very believable. Yeah I know what you told me but hmm it’s a big thing to her. I’m not sure she’s going to really accept it, Aryan. You shouldn’t have left her ther. You need to make up for it. Yeah she’s here too, hang on, speak to her,” Rakshay passed the phone to Mehr who had become very pale while listening to Rakshay talk to Aryan.
                              “Hello…” Mehr hesitantly said.
Mehr and Aryan spoke and decided they needed to meet up and talk. He explained to her that when she called him it was his aunt in the background who calls him ‘honey’ because that was his nickname when he was young. He wasn’t able to explain this to her over the phone earlier because she wouldn’t listen to him and didn’t give him a chance to explain. And since then, she’s avoided his calls. He was trying to get in touch with her ever since. He told her how he was wrong about not realizing that he was in love with her and how he never should have left her alone that night. They planned to meet up in the evening at Rhea’s house. Rhea would leave them alone in the living room and stay in her room, but she’d be there in the house just in case things messed up. Rakshay agreed to come as well and give Rhea some company. They would do their assignments while waiting.
6 o’clock came and the doorbell rang. Rakshay and Aryan both entered together. All four of them were nervous. Mehr and Aryan sat in the living room while Rhea led Rakshay into her room upstairs. They sat on the bed and talked, joked around and laughed. The uneasy feeling disappeared and they were back to being normal with each other. They finished their assignments and decided to check up on Mehr and Aryan. Everything seemed okay downstairs which was a huge relief. Though both Rhea and Rakshay had their reservations about Aryan, they couldn’t deny that he did look really sorry about the whole incident, and when he told Mehr that he loved her, it seemed very sincere. So they decided to give him another chance but would also keep an eye on him. After all, they didn’t want Mehr to get hurt again.

Sunday came and went with a breeze. Mehr and Rhea finished all their university assignments and went out shopping in the afternoon. They had planned to look for something that Rhea could wear on her upcoming birthday. She was planning to take her friends out for dinner and then go to a club after to party all night.
Mehr and Rhea looked around all the stores to find something absolutely stunning and unique. They looked for hours and hours until finally something caught Rhea’s eyes. It was beautiful. It suited Rhea to a T. It was a peacock blue coloured dress that went down to just above her knee. The dress was fitted and accentuated Rhea’s slim body, and though from the front it looked very conservative, it was completely backless right down to her lower spine. It hugged her in all the right places. She tried the dress on with a pair of champagne coloured pumps and walked out of the changing room to show Mehr. Mehr loved it and Rhea bought her dress.
