chapter sixty one

Storm's pov

I'm still reeling from the shock of last night, Mum was a phoenix why didn't she tell me.

Why hide it from me, why didn't she rise again like Armand did yeah I know what Uncle Shaun said but, I feel he was keeping something from me but what.

I get up out of my chair and move away from my desk, yes I'm in my office.

 I go to the window as I look out I see Sophie and Rogue holding hand's I can't help but smile, they look so happy together.

I hear the door open and turn to see Armand. " Blood are you alright ". I nod though I don't feel alright.

 I feel I don't know strange. " I'm alright fang's, don't worry ". He smile's.  " Do you want me to stay ". I nod I think I will need him today.

Fang's come's and stand's behind me, I feel his arm's wrap around my waist as we both look out the window.

We are watching are daughter, with her new found love I wish my life was that simple again.

I hear the door open again, me and Fang's both turn to see Uncle Shaun, standing in the doorway looking lost.

 " Morning Uncle Shaun ". He smile's and walk's in. " Morning Storm, Armand ". I point to a seat and he take's it I take a deep breathe and sit with Armand.

Here goes now I learn the truth about my past, am I truely ready for this. " Okay I guess I should start ". I nod and wait for him to begin.

 " Well this isn't easy but, your mum wasn't as young as you think ". What is he talking about now.

Mum was only 36 year's old when she died, I know because she died three week's later. " What do you mean Uncle Shaun ". He smile's.

 " Sophie was 136 on her last birthday, I know this must be a shock, and I'm sorry but you need to know ".

" Why didn't Mum tell me before ". He shake's his head. " We had agreed we would tell you when you reached 18 year's old. As that is when you would have changed in to a phoenix ".

 What is he saying, I would have changed which mean's now I wont change.

" So now I wont change ". He shake's his head again. " No you wont, your now a vampire. So your body wont change again ". I nod.

At least I will stay this was so I can be with Armand forever as a vampire.

My Uncle goes on to tell me about my Grandparent's and that my phoenix, isn't gone, it's just sleeping inside me, waiting for the time when, I will need to call it forth, I have to admit, I dont like the sound of that one bit.

" Why is my phoenix sleeping, as you put it ". He look's to the window, as if what he is about to tell me is bad.

 " Just tell me ". He look's back to me and then away again. " Storm  you a rare phoenix, your kind of phoenix only appear's once every thousand year's and only in the female's ". I look out the window to my daughter.

" You are what is known to our kind, as a firestorm phoenix ". A what, can this really be happening to me if this is a dream or a vision.

 I'm ready to wake up now. " What does that mean and will Sophie be effected, as I was human when I carried her ".

Shaun look's to the window. " I don't know Storm, there is a chance she may have the  phoenix gene but, there will never be another like you ".

 I don't like this one bit, I turn to Armand and he shug's his shoulder's.
