I feel his lips on mine before I even register what is happening. My eyes close on their own and I revel in the feel of his scruff against my skin and his lips against mine. His mouth fits beautifully against mine.
Heat immediately pools between my legs. A sensation I have felt for the first time with just a kiss. My own arms claw at his collar pulling him closer, as if that was even possible. Our bodies were pressed against each other and even this wasn't enough. I wanted him closer. We moved in a rhythm, as if singing a song only we knew the lyrics of. His heady masculine scent clouded my sense as much the way he tasted. Intoxicating.
And just as the magic started, it flattened. Arham pulls away from me. "Shit. I am so sorry. I am so sorry Maneka- I mean princess." His hands are held up in surrender as his face morphs into extreme apology. "I shouldn't have. I am so sorry. I have overstepped my bounds-"
"Shut up." Is my response as I pull at his collar again and pull him back flush against my body. The feel of his hard body only ignites the fire more greatly inside me. His eyes drop to my eyes and then to my lips and I don't have to do anything more to get him to put his lips back on me. His mouth finds mine in less than two seconds and I curl my hand around his neck while one of his stays firmly on my waist and the other roams my behind before settling and pushing himself harder against me.
"Arham" I moan his name when he kissed a trail down my neck down to the base of my throat.
And that seems to only encourage him as his grip on me tightens and he bites at a sweet spot just above the start of my blouse neckline. "You smell so sweet. Fuck. You have no idea the amount of times the memory of this scent of yours comes to me in a day. I want to pant like a dog every time you come close enough to me that I get a waft of it."
His words are so crass and yet all they do is make me throb at my core. My heart is racing so fast I can feel it.
Suddenly a sound of leaves rustling and footsteps not too far fall on my ears. That alarms me.
I push him away.
He is panting hard when I do. His eyes half mast staring at me. I look around us, faint voices reach us. That makes him snap out of his trance too.
"We should leave." I tell him. He nods. I set my veil rightly over my head and start walking towards the palace. I hear his steady footsteps behind me. The heat between my legs or the throbbing hasn't stopped even now knowing he is only a few steps behind me and I can only imagine what my face looks like with all this desire I feel.
When we reach the entrance of the palace I turn towards him and he stops in his tracks.
We are just out of the earshot of the guards when I whisper to him.
"Come up with me."
His breath hitches. "I can't say no if you ask me that. I am not strong enough."
"Then don't say no."
He takes a deep breath. "Are you sure?"
I don't have to hesitate. I have never been more sure about anything else.
"Yes."
"I'll be there after active hours. Right now many eyes can see us." He gestures discreetly at the guards.
I nod and shoot him a smile before I turn away and make my way towards the staircase.
By the time I make it to my quarters I have realised there are atleast two hours before Arham will try to make it here. So I decide to finish some embroidery work I started in the morning. When my handmaiden arrives to check in with me, I tell her I want to take a bath before I retire for the night.
I don't think I have taken more than two baths in the night before sleeping ever since I came to Mewar, and the two times was only because I had been crying all evening so my handmaiden here wanted to soothe me. So I do realise this is already a suspicious request.
