~Grace~
Nothing much happened later on that day, after touring and boring lectures, we got back to the hotel around 5 pm.
Most of us went for afternoon snacks, as I was walking back to my friends' corner, a strange feeling started in my stomach -it was not painful, it was disturbing. Very. It feels like someone was squishing my intestines, gently. It wasn't hurting, it was irritating, yet it brought tears to my eyes.
Mark came up to me along with Emma. I was clutching my stomach when they helped my to take a seat and told me to breathe. Emma said we could call the doctor to come to my aid, but Mark disagreed immediately, saying he has the explanation to those weird feelings.
After what seemed like 10 minutes, everything went back to normal, as if nothing happened. They brought me water and I took a huge gulp.
"How're you feeling now?" Emma asked, sitting beside me.
"Weird," I replied. "I don't know, this strange feeling has been there for days, but I've ignored it. Today was intense, though."
"You should've told me, you know," Mark said.
"Why?" I asked.
"You said she'll be fine. Care to explain how she'd be fine?" Emma accused.
"Yeah...uh," He stuttered, looked at me then at Emma, which only meant he wants to talk privately.
Emma nodded in understandment and went out.
I gave him a questioning look, which he responded with clearing his throat and took a deep breath. He looked everywhere but not at me.
"Well?" I asked. "Is something wrong with me?"
"No."
"Then?"
"Uh, Grace...I don't want to sound crazy, I don't know how to start," he stuttered.
"Go ahead?" Getting a llittle nervous, I asked.
"This is the best way to keep it," He breathed. "What if...What if I told you werewolves existed and you've got a mate who is an Alpha?"
I looked at him, blinked twice, trying to suck in what he just said.
Is he kidding?
He has to be, that's insane!
I bursted out laughing, clutching my stomach and stopped when my laughter turned to hicupps.
"You did understand some words, right? Mate? Werewolf? Alpha?"
"Mark, I read werewolf. In fact, I've been slightly obsessed with them, lately. But that joke you made? I almost believed what you said..." I giggled., but seeing his expression didn't change, I doubted he was joking.
"You were kidding...right?" I asked.
He shook his head.
"Mark, are you okay?" I checked his forehead. "No fever."
"I'm fine and its true."
"How does this explain the weird feelings?"
"I told you, you're mates with an Alpha. Your bond with him is stronger, so he probably felt it too."
I stared at him as if he was two-headed.
"Grace, don't look at me like that!"
"What? You cannot be serious Mark!"
"Let me show you," he said. "Or to make it easier, I'll let your mate show you."
I scoffed, "Who's my mate?"
He looked at me. Stared at me, before giving the name, in a small voice, barely audible.
"Tyler."
"Mark," I took a deep breath, "I told you. For the billionth time, if he's in your stupid jokes, then its not funny!"
"Its not a joke!" He boomed.
"Then what is it? The truth?" I said sarcastically.
"I'll prove it to you. I'll bring your mate to prove it to you, it'll be easier."
"How is it easier?"
"You're his mate, his wolf is always on the edge when he's around you, unless he marks you, that is."
"There is no way I'll accept him as my mate."
"You have to!" he panicked. "We'll discuss this later. Now we'll let him shift."
"He needs to be angry," I said, using my werewolf knowledge.
"Or lust," Mark suggested..
"I'd go with the first one," I mutter.
"Alright, tomorrow. After getting back from touring, but how to make Tyler angry.." He thought to himself.
"I know how, but it'll have to involve Emma," I said.
"We can't tell Em-" He started, but I cut him off.
"I know, humans shouldn't know unless they've got mates, but Emma is trustworthy."
"I don't know," Mark sighed.
"You've got better plans?"
"I don't, actually."
"Fine, then," I concluded. "Here's what we'll do.."
