I sighed, thinking that my troubles were over. it was then when I was oblivious to the fact that they were just beginning. Although i was a wolf with thick, black fur, and my snow coat was a good inch thick, the cold just passed though me, like i was a flimsy parchment of paper. Wondering if I would get frostbite, I continued, from the bus, to a black stone bridge that seemed to go on forever, hidden underneath 4 inch snow. then, the warm steam left me and my tail in the unwelcoming cold. Continuing across the snow covered bridge, the wind howled, passing across my ears in a daunting manner, as if daring me to rest. If I had been a better wizard, I could have conjured up a warm wave of continuous heat around me but I was not. Rupherd was right. I had no promise.
shut up old man. Your not here, and never will be. You sent me to get rid of me, not to stalk me...
"Hey!" came a familiar voice, breaking though the blizzard "Rin! Over here!"
I turned to see Zeke, fighting the snow to get to me
"Hey! Did you think you could just ignore me?"
"I assumed that your bus would come later." I said making an excuse
"I've missed you so much!" he exclaimed as if he had forgotten all trace of the snow "Come on! What are you waiting for? Lets get to the collage"
Zeke was a green dragon, no, not like enormous body, and wing that are longer than houses. Zeke was the same size as me, well, a head taller standing next to me. He had green eyes, dark green wings, and a smile to melt even the harshest storm. And no matter what, he would never forget a friend.
He had been the only thing that had separated me from loneliness. Way before we had come to the collage, he had been my friend in School. When I say school, I really mean a horrible building that we learn basic lessons on English and geometry. Until we are eligible to become a wizard at age 16, We are forced to learn basic stuff. Those who want to become an architect or an engineer go to other types of collages, Obviously non-magic. I thought that it was a complete waste of time. Half of the things taught were easy to grasp, and I remember correcting the teacher saying that Orni Haufdar had explored the Dawnset Isles in the white year, and not the "Bloody" green year as my idiotic teacher used to say. I had been given a detention and had to write "I will not reteach the correct curriculum". Zeke poked his head into the class and we quickly became great friends. He had been the only one that day to meet me, and the only one to meet me that month.
"Our first year!" he said excitedly "imagine that!"
"I don't think its that exciting." I said walking towards the castle "Just a start of a year looking though dusty old books, and wishy washy spells." I had never been a good wizard. My uncle, Supreme Sage Rupherd Sullimon had sent me here solely to get rid of me.
"Aw. your no fun."
"It's true!"
"Is not! you've never even casted a single spell."
"Tell me all about it then." I said sarcastically but then regretted my words
"Well my father taught me a couple of spells including..."
I put on my ear muffs pretending that it was the cold, and all I saw was the flapping of his jaw. it's not that I don't like him, but he can get irritating at times. We approached the collage. It was enormous, with dozens of towers, all with hundreds of windows, some glowing with yellow light, some with blue, and the occasional ominous red. the brick was a dark grey, that was sprinkled with snow, and the towers of roofs were a dark blue. a Lynx moved her mouth, and then I realised that I had my earmuffs on.
"I'm sorry, what did you say?" I apologized taking of my earmuffs
"name." she repeated
"Rin Bonterri" I said
