The wolf held a small button on her head gear. "Target neutralized, I need a team to move the Dreath Tobias."
"Nice job Violet. I'm dispatching a transfer team. Report back A.s.a.p." responded a voice clearer than glass.
"Ste-l-l... Diana, right?"
Diana shot a glance deadlier than any gun "Violet, careful."
"Sorry." Violet said in a repenting tone.
"Rin, Tifa, this is Violet. Violet... Rin, and Tifa." She said gesturing as she said our names
Violet raised an eyebrow and pointed to Tifa "Didn't I see you on TV?"
"You might have, I play for Northridge College." She said in a very modest tone.
"Yeah, you were killed by that... one reptilian. Who was he? Oh yeah! That one reptilian Leo, from Summerset Sands."
Tifa was filled with annoyance, at both Violet, and her failure. "I was outnumbered, three to one!"
"Well, they did kill you anyways." Violet said very indifferent.
A voice came from a distance, loud enough to be audible though the snow "Rin! Tifa!"
A shadow in the distance was slowly breaking through the snow. It fought its way to us, its feet quickly moving across the ground.
"Rin! Tifa!" It called again as its shadow gradually came closer. Finally, it was in distance, or I should say he. The thick snow coat, the long tan tail and the dangerous eyes.
"Lucas, were ok!" I shouted trying to calm him. It was a good thing he stopped, one because the ice was slippery, and two, because he had almost ran into the giant dreath.
"Glad you are ok." He said trying to hid his panting. "The Oblivion tournament starts in a couple of months and we need our seeker for..." His voice trailed off. He grabbed my left hand in his and looked horrified. "What happened to your hand?!" Did the dreath do this?!"
I held him back. Ouch! Damn. There better be a healing spell for this... "I did this to myself. It snapped me out of the illusion."
"What?" Lucas questioned more confused than a four-year old with a blindfold. "You cut yourself?"
"Yes, and it broke an illusion"
"You cut yourself?"
"Yes."
"Wow... You've got guts... And a brilliant mind." He said overcoming his shock. "Did I teach you that?"
I looked at my cut hand "You wouldn't teach me something so crude. Besides, I was desperate"
We were interrupted by a crack! In the storm, I could faintly make out a bright blue glow that broke through the snow and penetrated the sleet. Blades stirred up the winter air, and all you could here was the sound of wind currents that were so loud, that it sounded absurd. Violet said something though her head gear, but I couldn't hear it. I couldn't hear anything. Soon, a trap door from the bottom of the metal aircraft opened and steel wires were sent down and pierced the ground with an ear shattering Bang! One blue plasma net surrounded the unconscious dreath and without delay, the ship lifted the beast into the hanger. The ship set itself down in the town square, just big enough to fit it and the choppers stopped sounding.
Lucas looked to Violet. "And you are?"
She looked at him from head to toe. "Leaving..." She said in a tone colder than the snow.
Lucas seemed offended, but he seemed to shrug it off faster than it took heat to travel from a warm fireplace, to a cold body.
Violets head-set glowed blue, signifying it had turned on. "Sorry. Smooth talk like that can only come from Ace."
