When I woke up on the plane the first thing that I felt was hurt and guilt. I let him get away from me. I thought it was all just a bad dream, until I woke up and found that he wasn’t sitting next to me. I couldn't picture myself without him. Now that we landed back in Australia, the hurt in my chest grew bigger. It felt like it could never be healed.

Amanda and I got a taxi back to our hotel. I checked the time on my phone: 11:36 pm. We entered through the front doors up to the elevators. When they opened and my mom and dad came rushing out. My mom grabbed Amanda's arm and my dad grabbed mine and started running toward the door. Before we reached the door I asked, "What's going on dad?" I try to keep up with him, stumbling along the way.

"They found us we have to leav-" He cut off, he stops mid-step. We were surrounded by government officers. We were standing in the door way and all the guns were pointed at us. I was so tiered before and having almost twenty guns pointed at us woke me up, with adrenaline pulsing through me. My heart rate picking up and my body is starting to shake with nervousness.

"You've been running for way too long, Williams.” The officer spit our last names like he just ate some degusting food. “But finally after many, many years of tracking you down, we finally have you trapped," said the man who looks to be the head governor, still pointing his shot gun at us. This was a bad time to have drunk the potion, I thought. The potion! Would they believe me if I told them?

"We aren't immortal anymore." I said.

"What are you talking about?" The governor said, his smile disappearing now forming into a frown.

"We drank a potion. One that can erase immortality and make us mortal again. We went into the-" I began to explain until I was interrupted by their loud mocking laughs. I was about to say that we went into the underworld to get it.

"There is no potion that can make you mortal again."

"You can even test us! Just scratch us and watch it won't heal!" I said the words came out of my mouth so fast I couldn't stop them. My parents still haven’t drunk the potion!

He took an impatient breath and said, "Okay! umm...” His eyes shifted from all of the solders then said, “You,” pointing to the man on his left, “Sean, go and test them." When he said it he had this evil smirk on his face. The other man that he told to test us came up to us holding a knife that was given to him by another officer. He ran it along the right side of my face. It hurt so much but I didn't dare show weakness in front of him. I try not to cry out from the pain.

I felt my blood pour down my face. I touched my face with my hand and took it off. Looking at my hand that is, covered in blood. Then I saw Amanda's cut do the same. Then he reached my parents. Once he ran the knife along the side of their faces it healed.

That's when Shane showed up out of nowhere. The guns still pointed at us, all the officers had their focus on my parents’ now healing wounds, their guns lowered, fascinated.

“Focus men!” the officer screamed. “Once we get the potion from them we can do that and more!" The head Governor yelled. After that all the men fixed their aim, some men were holding shot guns out from their body, and some were holding fairly large guns up against their shoulder.

Shane walked through the crowed like they were not even there. He grabbed Amanda’s arm and mine and pulled us inside the hotel with me stumbling backwards. That's when the fire of a gun went off. Amanda screamed (which probably broke my eardrum). I whipped around to see whom it hit. It hit my dad. But it didn't do anything. Then gun shot after gun shot went off. I couldn't hear anything besides a ringing in my ear. One hit the window, I screamed. The shattered glass was spread out all over the lobby. I quickly moved my arms to cover my head from the glass. And then another shot went off breaking another window.
