"Hello students. Unfortunately, Liam Arrington is absent today; had an unlucky accident, I suppose you all have heard of it... These kind of news spread quickly." Mr Averill mumbled, with a frown on his face.
Mr. Averill was just about to start to the lesson. But suddenly, he noticed something. He squinted his eyes and checked out the class carefully. There was another student missing other then Liam.
Meanwhile at the hospital that Liam was currently in, an adolescent showed up; she had a huge hat that it's shadow was covering her face. Adolescent had a black, long dress that touched to the ground. She smelled cherry and cinnamon.
She slowly walked to the information desk.
"How can I help you, Madam?" Asked the woman at the information desk, smelling the nice cherry and cinnamon mixture in the air.
She grabbed a blue pen and a paper from her purse and wrote:
"I was looking for Liam Arrington".
The woman read the paper and asked if she was a relative of Liam.
Adolescent wrote:
"Just a friend."
The woman said "then I can't show you the room but give me your name so that I can inform Mr. Arrington about your visit when he wakes up." Woman was still smelling the perfume of the young lady in black.
Young girl gave her a little smirk and
put the blue pen in her purse, then got a red one. She started writing angry threats and gave it to the woman.
The poor employee took the paper. The second she took it, her mouth half opened, her eyes widened and she gulped. It was written with blood.
Two females stared to each other for seconds. It felt like years to that poor woman.
"I- I will just check it on the computer, Madam. Ar... Arrington..." The woman mumbled. "He is on the second floor the 104th room"she added.
The young lady in the black, didn't say a word. She just walked past her and got on the elevator and disappeared. But the cherry and the cinnamon smell didn't seem to be gone. It was still in the air and the poor receptionist was still smelling it. It was burning her lungs and her throat; but for some reason, she wanted more. She followed the smell and got on the elevator.
Young lady that was covered in black, went to the 104th room. Where Liam lied in his bed with bright white sheets. Young lady felt a pain in her chest when she saw that boy. Tears started to flooding down to her cheeks.
The miserable boy looked so torn apart and broken that he didn't even looked like Liam. He didn't even looked like a human.
Liam was just like a corpse that had severe deep cuts and bruises, tied to beeping machines. He didn't seemed to put a single effort on living anymore. His mom was just fell asleep besides him, on a chair. She is probably having her first deep sleep, the adolescent thought, with a huge frown on her face. She let another sob. A single hot, salty tear streamed down to her neck.I don't have time to cry now, she thought, opening her purse.
Right at that moment, the receptionist woman came in to the room, following the cherry and cinnamon smell. Adolescent girl turned around and walked towards the receptionist. She knew that the woman was here for the smell.
Young lady in black opened her arms. She knew that woman wanted to snuggle her. Her smell was so addictive.
Older woman didn't even think twice and ran towards the adolescent, and hugged her tight.Suddenly, the woman felt dizzy.
She felt nauseous.
She felt that her throat and livers were burning and melting.
She let go of the young girl and leaned on the floor.
Blood was rising from her livers.
She coughed.
It felt like she threw up her livers.
She couldn't breathe.
She coughed with the last breathe she took.
Blood was streaming down to her chin and dropping on the bright white floor. Suddenly, she fell on to the ground, dead.Adolescent gave the dead woman a smirk.
"I should get back to work." She thought, looking at her opened purse. She took our her blue pen and a paper. She wrote:
"Hello Liam,
I feel so guilty and sad for seeing you like this. I am so sorry. I hope you wake up and read this letter. When you recover enough to get back home, just put this letter into your own mailbox. I will reply to you later, I promise."She stopped. Should she write her name on the bottom?
She looked at the bloody corpse of the receptionist.
"I just melted someone's livers with my recognizable smell. It won't be a great idea to reveal my name." She thought.
Young lady put the note under the white bright sheet, on Liam's chest.
The note smelled cherry and cinnamon as well.
