Hey guys, I have changed Liam's surname to "Arrington" from "Hemsworth" because while I wrote this story, I forgot that there was a celebrity called "Liam Hemsworth" :) it sounded like I was writing a fanfic about him, so I decided to change it. Tell me in the comments below if I forgot to change his surname in some conversations thank you and I'm hoping that you are enjoying this story, which is not really professional
*・゜゚・**:.。.(*v*) .。.:*・゜゚・*.Hank Firmin, the police officer; walked into Liam's room, quietly. Boy was still asleep.
He tiptoed till Liam's bed. He smelled the air. The cherry and cinnamon smell was mostly gone. But there still was a light, sweet smell that hadn't disappeared yet.
He found it weird that deadly cherries and cinnamons were still causing him to perceive the smell; considering that it has been nearly twenty hours since the incident.
This awareness made him think.
Was the smell actually coming from Liam, or the weapon that is used -by the third person that police had no clue about- during the event was still here?
He got curious. His dreams would come true if he found the source.
He followed the smell. Cherries and cinnamons were telling him to bend down and look under the bed. He was so excited that he couldn't help smiling.
He did what the sweet, addictive smell told him to. He quietly crawled under the bed and grabbed a paper. He felt like cherries and cinnamons were waiting him there.
He stood up quickly, impatient to look what it was written inside. He hoped for it to be an evidence that would change everything about the current event; so that he could feel like he is working on a difficult, important case.
He unfolded the paper.
"Hello Liam,"... It was written to the boy. He was a little disappointed but continued reading.
"I feel so guilty and sad for seeing you like this. I am so sorry. "
Guilty, he mumbled. Both the smell and the apolegetic words... Killer must be a third person, Mr Firmin whispered to himself, squeezing the paper. He realized that the letter had one more paragraph, but he didn't even bothered to read it.
This much evidence was enough to go deeper into this vicious vortex of dreams and selfish plans that was only beneficial only to himself.
Hank was aware that this was a huge evidence that could save Liam from this case. He knew he should deliver it to the station.
He brainstormed.
If he delivered the evidence to his boss, they would keep the note to themselves. His association with this case would be over. That was what it should be; he was just an insignificant police officer with a lower degree, that had a careless boss who wouldn't even bother to give him a promotion.
He sighed.
There were so many competitve and clever police officers with higher degrees, detectives who would bust several criminal minds, serial killers and even the ones who are lawfully evil that used to run big organized rings for criminal proposals that were believed they were impossible to defeat.
That made him feel pathetic and unimportant. He would love to believe that he was in a place that everybody was talking about how his intelligence and hardwork was outstanding; how experienced and trusted with the solutions of the crimes. He would want to be known for busting master criminal minds and countless crimes that committed in ways that most people couldn't think of. He wanted to be the first name that came to people's minds when someone simply mentioned "detective". He knew he was hard working, he just needed to get more credit.
