Penelope's Gift

It is Wednesday, July 29, 2015.

Elliott and I did a quick video early this morning about us just finding out that we're neighbors.

💭It was silly. 💭

Ho Hey cover was posted around 10:00AM.

It was noon when Penelope came over to my place.

"Hey." Penelope said.

"Girl I'm busy." I said. "I got a trip."

"I know." Penelope said as she hands me a wrapped up box. "Open this. It's your birthday present."

I rip off the wrapping paper and put the bow on top of Roxy's head.

It's a converse box.

I slowly open the converse box.

I gasp as I take out the black high top converse with decorations.

Penelope laughs.

"I can't believe you personalized these for me." I said. "Thanks."

"It's all nothing." Penelope said. "You were there for me Rose, you're the first person who saw my art and motivated me to show my talent."

"Don't make me cry now." I say. "Not now, if I start crying, I'm not sure if I'll be able to stop."

"Sorry." Penelope said. "I won't."

"This is actually very creative." I say.

"Thanks." Penelope said.

"I was thinking about spray painting the emoji with the three black music notes on a new pair of converse." I say. "The turquoise high tops."

"You should do that." Penelope said.

"I will." I say.

"You have more pairs of converse than any other shoe." Penelope said.

"At this time of year, my dad takes me shopping for boots." I say.

"You're hoping its soon?" Penelope asks.

I nod with a cheesy grin on my face that makes Penelope laugh.

💭That grin gets her every time.💭

"Gibsons left yesterday?" Penelope asks.

I nod.

"You're going to miss them." Penelope said. "I know that for sure."

"I could visit them anytime though." I said. "I'll be okay."

"Okay." Penelope said. "That's good to hear."

I nod.

"I'm wearing a white spaghetti strap crop top with lace stitched to the bottom along with my light blue high waisted jeans." I said. "I'll roll up the jeans to make these shoes stand out."

I roll up the jeans. Then put on the shoes.

"Cute." Penelope said.

"It got so hot all of the sudden." I said. I put my hair up in a high ponytail.

Penelope's phone goes off.

"I got to go." Penelope says as she puts her phone in the pocket of her denim shirt. "I'll meet with you and the rest of the girls at the junkyard later."

"Okay." I say.

Penelope starts running and gets back on the phone to make a phone call.

I get back inside my home.

💬Come over real quick, my mom wants to talk to you. -Elliott.💬

I put my phone in my pocket. I walk over next door.

I see Elliott standing right next to the fire pit.

"Hey." Elliott said.

"Hey." I said.

"My mom wants to talk to you." Elliott said. "By the way, nice shoes."

"Okay." I say. "Thanks Elliott."
