Chapter 35 = The Suprise

Sorry I haven't updated in a long time. One I needed a break and two I don't want this book to end but I am going to make a series. Ok let me shut up and here is the chapter.

NATHANIEL'S POV ( didn't see that coming did you?)

I have a surprise for Kayla. The difference between me and Shawn is that I love Kayla. Shawn only likes her... Well I think. I won't tell you guys the surprise because then I would ruin it for you. Well I got Kayla's surprise the other day and I knew it was perfect I know or I hope Kayla will take me back. It is not the same without her around or without her being mine.

SHAWN'S POV ( You didn't see that one coming did you)

Ok so I have a big surprise for Kayla. If she doesn't pick me at the end then I tried my best and I will have to get over her. I really hope she picks me because I love her and I didn't even get a chance to date her. I really love her that is the difference with me and Nathaniel. I wanted to wait until she gets back but I don't know if she is ever going back so that will be part of my surprise. I went to go pick up Kayla's surprise and then packed up. If you haven't figured it out I am going to New York to visit Kayla.

Kayla's friend Makayla knows I am coming so she is making sure Kayla and Nathaniel are busy while I get to the apartment. I got all packed then headed to the airport. I got on the plane and just put my beats on and listened to music while the plane took me to the New York.

I got to New York and I texted Makayla and she said they went to the beach because Kayla wanted to go so she can go in the water. I got into the apartment and saw Nathaniel looking at himself in the mirror all dressed up and holding something. He looked at me, "WHAT ARE YOU DOING HERE???!!!!!" He asked me getting mad. " Just here to see Kayla." I said calm. "Ok but stay here!! Got it ?" Nathaniel asked me. "Why I want to see her?!!" I asked Nathaniel. "Because she is MY soon to be girlfriend and I want to do something and not have you in the way!!!" "Well I have a surprise for her too!!" "Whatever." Was the last world he said then it was silent.

I got dressed all nice looking like Nathaniel. I checked my hair and then got what I needed for the surprise. I went to go out the door but Nathaniel stopped me. "Where do you think your going?" "To surprise Kayla why you stopping me?" "Because I am surprising Kayla!" "No I am!!" That was the last I said until I started to run.

I saw Nathaniel running behind me. I have to make to the beach before him. If he gets there first he might persuade Kayla into liking him and then she will those him over me. Nathaniel was catching up until he pasted me. Oh hell no he ain't getting there before me. My run turned into a sprint. I placed Nathaniel and I felt like I can do anything until he passed me again. What the hell is wrong with him. Can't he back off once. Just once.

I just noticed that the beach is kinda far from the apartment. I started to get tired but I can't stop. Nathaniel stopped and just jogged because he was a whole lot in front of me. I started to run faster until I passed him a fun then I turned into a sprint and I slowly started to see water. I am here all sweaty but I am here. Wait... Then there was a moment of my life where I didn't want to be stupid but I was. I never asked Makayla where they where. There wasn't a lot of people there but there was enough people where you couldn't see Kayla.

I got out my phone and while I ran I call Makayla.

Call:

Shawn: hey Makayla where are you?

Makayla: you see the lifeguard stand?

Shawn: yah

Makayla: we are next to that and the lifeguard is hot and flirting with Kayla but I can tell Kayla doesn't like him so you are good.

Shawn: ok I will be there in a few.

Call ended.

I saw then and Kayla was rolling her eyes at the lifeguard. I ran to them but Nathaniel was right beside me.

We got to where Kayla was and she saw us.

KAYLA'S POV(finally)

The lifeguard was flirting with me but he is not my type. I looked around and saw Shawn and Nathaniel running. Why are they running? " KAYLA!!!" The both said/ yelled in unison. "What are you doing here?" I asked Shawn. "And why are you all sweaty?" "I have a surprise for you Kayla that is why I came." Shawn answered. "Same." Nathaniel said.

"I want to go first." "No I do!" "No I do!" And that when on and on. Until I said. "If you both have a surprise then give it toe at the same time." "Ok." They both muffled.

They both went in front of my and went on one knee. They opened a box. They both got me a necklace that says different things on both. Nathaniel's says "Forever" and Shawn's said " Now I know your name" like the song she sang to me. The both said in unison. "Will you be my girlfriend?" I was in shock. I stared at both of them.

Then it ended up I was the one running this time...
