Chapter 33 = Reunite

KAYLA'S POV

... Out of the corner of my eye I saw Nathaniel in a bush. Like what the heck. Who does that? I have to emit that guy is hilarious. I just ignored him and went back to Matt. " Matt I really missed you." " Same I thought about you every night and I wondered if you were ok." I started to blush. He showed me his beautiful smile and I melted on my seat.

We stared at each other for a long time until we started leaning in and something small hit me in the back of the head. I stopped and turned around and saw a small pebble next to me. I looked at where Nathaniel was. "Excuse me for one sec." " Ok."

I walked to where baths bike was hiding and I opened he bushes. He was there crossing his fingers hoping I wasn't there. "Nathaniel, I don't know your middle name and last name. How could you?" " Sorry I just don't trust this guy." " You never met this guy and this "guys" name is Matt." "Whatever but I don't trust him." " Again you never met him and can you please leave you are ruining my time?" " Ok. " He got up and left.

" Who was that?" Matt asked. " Oh my ex- boyfriend who is my friend, didn't trust you so he tried to sabotage our moment so kicked him out of his bush, where he was hiding and made him go back but he left so know we are alone, well except the strangers in the park. "

"Oh ok so where were we?" I saw him tense up when I told him about Nathaniel. we started leaning in when I heard someone call my name. Will Nathaniel just leave me alone. I turned around and saw my best friend Sophia. I got up and ran to her and gave her a giant hug. " OMG I missed you so much!!" "Same!!" I saw Matt and he look angry that Sophia ruined the moment. We started talking until it was late. I now and going to Starbucks tomorrow to see all my friends. I walked over to Matt and I had to leave because Nathaniel was there to pick me up. I kissed Matt on the check and got in the car.

" Did you just kiss him?" " Omg Nathaniel yes I did and you are not my dad... You are not I charge of me!" "I know but again I don't trust him." "Can you just leave it and be happy that one of my old crushes likes me." " I still like you." "Yeah but you already ask me and I am still deciding." "Well can you decide faster?!" " I cannot believe just said that. Like you don't trust Matt I don't know if I can trust you." we got to Makayla's apartment. I got out of the car and slammed the door. I ran the the apartment with tears in my eyes. While I ran I heard Nathaniel calling my name but I ignored it. I ran into the room I will be sleeping and layed on the bed.

I stood where I was for like 2 hours. I never got up. Makayla came in the room and sat next to me. "Are you ok Kayla?" She asked. " I don't know. Me and Nathaniel never fought like that." "Just to tell you... He is in the living room telling himself why he ever spied and said what he said to you." I got up and said really. And she nodded her head yes.

I got up and went to the living room. Nathaniel had his head in his hands. I sat next to him and tapped his shoulder. He looked at me and I can tell he had been crying and he can probably see I was crying. We stared at each other but it was different then me staring at Matt. It was more of a love stare.

We started really slowly leaning in until our lips touched or you and put it I punched his mouth with my mouth softly because I like him. I am so funny... Not. We kissed for like 5 minutes and then we pulled apart and stares at each other again. I looked at the time and it is really late and I have to go to Starbucks tomorrow so I got up and went to the place I am sleeping in and layed on the bed and fell asleep.

THE NEXT DAY

I am going to Starbucks to reunite with my old school friends. I get up and put on my clothes and light makeup and do my hair. Then I brush me teeth and put in my shoes and head to the kitchen and Nathaniel was there on his phone. "Hey." It was kinda awkward. " Hey where are you going?" " To go reunite with my friends." "Ok have fun." "I am going to Starbucks, do you want anything?" " Yeah can I have a chocolate chocolate chip frap." "Ok be back in... I don't know how long?" "Ok." He said laughing. "Bye" " Byers."

I got to Starbucks and I see Zamia and Sophia walked up to them and gave them a hug. Vanessa walked in and I gave her a big hug. " How is my grammar- correcting friend?" " Good... How is my need grammar correction friend?" " Good." I said laughing. Then Camille and Grace came in. I gave them big hugs. Then everyone else came and I gave them hugs.

We all ordered drinks and then sat down. We talked about our lives and then we talked about boys. I told them everything's that happened and all of them were shocked. Then Sophia said "I still have a crush on Matt." Other girls would be all catty on there friend because they like the same guys but Sophia is different she doesn't really care. And that is good for me because I have a lot of boys I am dealing with. I am meeting Matt again at the park in a week. I am going to be in New York long.

After everyone left I order the drink that Nathaniel wanted and then guess who appeared right in my face...
