Your Ex

Chapter 25

*trigger warning, self harm*

Its after school, Tobin has not spoken a word to Alex since she found her and Servando in the classroom. Tobin won't even glance at Alex, she has soccer to worry about.

She's in the locker room before anyone else and she takes her wallet out of her pocket, pulling the familiar cold metal blade from behind her driver's license.

She has barely even looked at it since she was a freshman.

"Fuck" Tobin sobs finally letting her emotions get the best of her.

She presses the cold blade against her wrist before biting her lip and cutting.

She starts with one and before she can stop herself there's a dozen slits across her forearm, now bleeding.

Tears stream down her face as she stares at the multiple cuts littering her arm.

"Tobin Powell Heath" the brunette here's the familiar voice.

Slowly she moves her gaze upward to lock her hazel eyes with none other than Lauren Jauregui's emerald ones.

"H-hi Lauren" Tobin mutters folding her arms trying to hide the slits, but its too late the raven haired girl already saw them.

"Why" Lauren says moving so she's standing in front of her ex girlfriend.

"I don't really want to talk about it" Tobin sniffs

Lauren sighs "Fine, but at least let me get you cleaned up" she says before standing up and going over to the sink, wetting a paper towel and kneeling in front of the hazel eyed girl.

She carefully takes Tobin's hand and stretches out her arm so the bloody forearm is exposed.

When the brunette doesn't pull away, Lauren dabs the cuts, carefully wiping the cuts.

Tobin winces periodically but never tells the raven haired girl to stop.

Once finish, the emerald eyed girl leans down pressing a soft kiss to Tobin's scarred skin, careful not to hurt it.

"Thank you" the hazel eyed girl almost whispers.

"Anytime" Lauren smiles softly as she looks up to meet Tobin's gaze.

"No matter what I've said, or done in the past, I'll always care about you Tobin. You are still and always will be special to me, but I'm beginning to accept the fact that you are moving on, and as long as you're happy then I'll leave you alone. Just know if you ever need anything. Ever. You can call or text me because I don't ever want to see this happen again" the raven haired girl says very sincerely.

Tobin bites her lip before nodding and gets engulfed in a hug by the shorter girl. "I have to go now, but keep your chin up okay? Its going to be okay" Lauren smiles softly earning another nod from her ex.

Soon after the emerald eyed beauty leaves the locker room and Tobin composes herself the team comes piling in.

"Tobes you're training in a jacket?" HAO asks.

"Yeah trying to sweat off a little extra weight" the hazel eyed girl lies easily.

Soon after a couple more questions about Tobin's attire the team files out onto the field.

After practice the team leaves the locker room one by one until the only two left are Tobin and Alex.

"Will you at least look at me?" Alex asks the girl she loves.

Tobin ignores her.

"God dammit Tobin say something! Anything I just I can't take you not even acknowledging my existence" Alex practically yells at the light haired girl.

"What the fuck do you want me to say Alex?" Tobin says loudly as she slams her locker shut. "Do you want me to forgive you and take you back? You cheated on my Alex. Twice."

"I didn't mean to Toby" the ocean eyed girl tries.

"You didn't fucking mean to? Are you kidding me that's the best fucking excuse you could come up with?" The hazel eyes darken with anger as a tension begins rising between the two again.

"He kissed me Tobin! I didn't kiss him if you would have actually stopped to fucking listen then you would have known that!" Alex yells her hands moving to emphasize her words.

"Are you serious or are you lying?" Tobin asks her voice softening.

"I'm serious, Tobin. I love you with all my heart and I'm not stupid enough to make the same mistake twice. Especially if that mistake involves losing you." The crystal eyed girl says staring deep into the hazel eyes across from her.

"I love you Alex." Tobin says.

"I love you too Tobin" the taller girl replies.

"I'm going to prove to that dumbass Servando that you are mine." The hazel eyes darken again but with a different emotion than anger. Lust.

"I'm all yours" Alex smirks.

"Not here, lets go back to my house" the shorter girl says.

And with that Tobin takes her girlfriend's hand and walks out of the locker room to her car.
