Your Ex

Chapter 3

~Friday~

After school the four friends with the addition of Camila make their way into the parking lot of the school. Tobin has her arm around Lauren's waist protectively.

The friends split up getting into two separate vehicles. Alex and Kelley in one. Lauren,Tobin, and Camila in the other. Tobin is not very happy about the arrangement but Kelley insisted it be this way so they get to know Camila a little bit.

Tobin follows Kelley out of the parking lot pulling onto the road and heading towards the highway. Tobin reaches over the center console taking Lauren's hand in her own lacing their fingers together. Lauren gives her a small smile before turning her attention to look out the window. Tobin has noticed that her girlfriend has been kind of distant lately but she knows that the green eyed girl would talk to her if something was bothering her.

When they arrive at the lake house they all get out grabbing there bags, Tobin carrying Lauren's for her, and go inside setting them in the rooms.

Since it was almost dark when they got there they decided to build a fire on the beach. Tobin and Alex head into the woods to get firewood.

"Hey Lex?" Tobin asks picking up some good sized sticks.

"Yeah Toby?" Alex answers doing the same.

"Are you alright? I've just noticed you've been acting kinda weird around Lauren and I lately" Tobin says concern for her best friend lacing her words.

"Oh uh yeah I'm fine I've just had a lot on my mind that's all" the blue eyed girl tries to cover.

Tobin knows her friend isn't telling the truth but she just shrugs it off.

While the two are gone Kelley goes inside to see if she can find a couple beers.

"So how long have you and Tobin been together?" Camila asks.

"Three years" Lauren replies.

"You two seem like you're pretty happy. I mean everytime I see you two together she's smiling like an idiot" Camila chuckles slightly.

"Yeah I guess we are but there's this girl that I've seen around school lately and I don't know why but for some reason she keeps finding her way into my thoughts" Lauren says looking at Camila, her girlfriend absent from her mind.

"Oh yeah? Who is she?" Camila smirks slightly.

"I'm looking at her" Lauren replies.

Camila leans in slightly. Lauren does the same but right before their lips connect Kelley stands on the back porch of the house holding a case of beer up.

"I found it!" She yells excitedly.

Lauren and Camila jerk away from each other quickly as Kelley walks down to where they are sitting.

Tobin and Alex find their way back tossing the wood in the small fire pit they made. Soon the group of friends are all sitting in a half circle around the fire.

"I don't know about you guys but I am really feeling a late night swim" Kelley says as she stands up pulling her shirt over her head shamelessly showing off her body as she takes off her shorts and makes her way down to the lake. The rest of the group do the same following their fun loving friend into the lake.

The night continues with the group swimming,laughing, and joking around. When they finally settle into their rooms its three in the morning.
