One of the worst thing a parent can do for their child is to leave them with a legacy of self-doubt.
The child will eventually grow, but become so paralyzed by their inhibitions that their life is overtaken by anxiety. Unable to confidently make choices, even though they may be brighter and wiser than the average person.
They will lack assuredness, all because their parent never thought it important enough to build their confidence, nor entrust them with the words "I believe in you."
