You feel this sudden urge to violently shake them, so they could snap out of their tiny worldview and see what's clearly in front of their eyes.
But you don't. You wait. You listen. You love.
And you pray that one day, they'll be able to take that first step towards freedom because you know that you will do everything in your power to liberate them from their suffocating relationship.
But they need to take the first step.
You silently hope that when that happens, who they are won't have died off as well.
