ADNAN
"You're beautiful, Ava—" I said in between thrusts and pounds. She was laying on my bed; her hair was all tangled up in a lose ponytail, legs wrapped around my waist, soft moans escaping from her mouth, hands exploring my whole body—She was absolutely incredibly perfect.
"Adnan." Her mouth agape from my constant movement to push in and out of her.
"Adnan!" Andreas shouted my name, kicking the ball towards my chest, "Are you alright?" He said from a far, I was too fixated with my thoughts that the ball hit my chin, making me fall backwards. We were doing drills with groups of 5 and for a second I forgot where I was; my mind started to daydream and remember what happened three nights ago, I missed Ava.
It was early September and Ava had already started University, although her schedule was full for this semester, we were going stronger than ever; I was planning to ask her if she could be my girlfriend. Subsequently, I'd ask her if she'd like to move in with me a few months from now, find a place of our own.
Ava was now included in my future goals and plans.
I was laying on the grass, holding my chin that would surely bruise tomorrow, "Yeah, man... Just remembered something." I said to Andreas, the last line being more of a whisper to myself, I chuckled to myself. Memphis came over to help me stand, "You're whipped, do you know that?"
"Yeah—Yeah, I am." I need not deny anything, it was obvious I was in love with Ava.
Training finished before dinner, mama and papa would regularly allow me to eat out with the lads to unwind and relax. I, along with Marouane, Vincent, Eden, Simon, Kevin, Romelu, Christian and Thibaut decided to meet for supper tonight. Seeing that Chelsea had an away match against Everton, some of my Belgian mates agreed to travel to Manchester for dinner.
A couple of press photographers were waiting outside the restaurant, it wasn't every day that the media would spot us together; only the Tottenham Hotspur boys were missing; Jan, Toby, Nacer and Mousa.
This was the longest I haven't seen Ava since we've gotten serious, it had been three days since my last visit to her home; I imagined her having a hard time understanding my priorities with football, but it was the other way around when Architecture school had started for her. It appeared as if she was busier; always drawing, crafting, or designing in her home or in the studio at Manchester School of Architecture. It was difficult for me to understand why she was also preoccupied with work.
If anything, I was the clingy person in this relationship. Where was Adnan time?
"She's not replying to my messages." I said to no one in particular, the boys were going about how the Bahamas should be on our next holiday list, according to Thibaut. We were already on our last course for the night, waiting for our dessert to be served.
Marouane was never annoyed with my constant praises, stories or complaints with Ava, he said, "Don't worry, it's not like anyone from her Uni attracted her attention, you know? She's in to you as you are with her."
"What's this?" Eden chimed in before sipping wine from his glass. "You have a girlfriend now?"
"When are you going to introduce her to us? Take 'er to Belgium 'ready?" Romelu responded.
"Oh her name's Ava." I said smiling at my mates, I missed her terribly.
"Isn't she your gaffers' granddaughter?" Vincent asked, "Did Van Gaal actually punish you like what the media portrayed?"
"For a while he did, yeah." No point in denying what happened in the past. "It wasn't that bad."
"En parlant d'Ava elle vient juste de rentree." (Speaking of Ava, she just entered) Marouane said while pointing to the waitress leading Ava and her party of 6 to their seats.
