Hey yall this chapter in my opinion is kinda all over but I'm sorta spam posting and because I've been gone for so long. I'm planing to get most of the blue parts done today then the red next Saturday, it's really the only free time I have. Also this chapter starts in the shippuden and references the OG Naruto from time to time. Yall enjoy!!

# 🌸 **Sakura's POV —

It's been about half a year since the Chunin Exams, and a year and a half since Misaki was brutally murdered.

Everything seemed to collapse after that.

Sasuke was inconsolable. Losing her carved a hollow space inside him that nothing could fill. He snapped at everyone, especially Naruto, and their arguments grew so intense that Kakashi-sensei had to intervene more than once. The Curse Mark reacted to his grief like a parasite sensing weakness, flaring violently whenever his emotions spiraled.

Mission after mission, Sasuke pushed himself until he ended up in the hospital again and again. And during the chaos of the Chunin Exams, even though the Third Hokage survived his battle with Orochimaru—with Haruto Fujioka's help—his injuries were too severe for him to continue leading the village.

The Leaf felt leaderless. And Team 7 felt broken.

## 🌫️ **The Summons**

The next morning, an ANBU appeared in a swirl of leaves, summoning Team 7 to the Academy rooftop. Naruto was already there, pacing with a restless energy that barely hid his worry. Kakashi stood by the railing, no book in sight, his posture heavy.

"Where's Sasuke?" I asked, though I already knew.

"In the infirmary," Kakashi said. "The seal is unstable. He isn't fit for briefing."

Naruto stopped pacing. "Is this about Lord Third?"

Kakashi nodded. "The Council has made a decision. A search party has been dispatched to bring back one of the Legendary Sannin."

"Jiraiya?" Naruto asked hopefully.

"No," Kakashi said. "They're searching for Lady Tsunade. They believe she's the only one capable of healing the village—and leading it as the Fifth Hokage."

My gaze drifted toward the hospital. "Can she help Sasuke too?"

Kakashi hesitated. "She is the greatest healer alive. But some wounds... even she may struggle to close."

## 🌸 **The Visit**

The hospital wing was too quiet. I carried a small bouquet of white lilies— and stepped into Sasuke's room.

He wasn't in bed. He stood by the window, the Curse Mark faintly visible on his neck, pulsing like a bruise that refused to fade.

"Sasuke?" I whispered.

"They're talking about the Third," he said without turning.

"Yes. Kakashi-sensei briefed us. They're bringing Lady Tsunade back to become the Fifth Hokage."

He let out a bitter breath. "A healer. To lead a village of shinobi."

"She's more than that! She might be able to help with your—"

"Help with what, Sakura?" He spun around, eyes dark and exhausted. "Can she bring Misaki back? Can she erase the fact that a monster walked through our defenses and destroyed everything?"
