Chapter 5
I really didn't have much to do the next day. I had dance at 5, but no school. Kendall had to go on set and insisted I go with. "But Why?" I ask, not getting why he would want me to come with. "Because." he answers simply. "What? Don't trust me alone?" I joke. "That too." he added while walking by me. I just gave up, so I slipped on some sweatpants and a hoodie. I applied light makeup and took my dance bag since I was going straight from set. I went downstairs."Good. Now get your butt in the car." Kendall said, standing up, and slightly pushing me forward as if to make me go faster.
When we got on set, he introduced me to the guys. "Hey guys, this is my....er....uh.." he had no idea what to call me I looked at him. "I'm his..uh..." Niether of us knew what to say. So instead we jusdt started laughing at how stupid we were being. "So she's your 'AHAHAHA'?" Carlos asks, slightly making fun of us. "She's my Tess." Kendall says. I shrug my shoulders. "Yeah, that works." he took me to his dressing room. "This is where you can chill if you don't feel like socializing."
Just then a producer came by. "We won't be needing you for the next 2 or 3 hours." he said and walked away. "As will I." Kendall said, sitting on the couch. I sat next to him. "What time do you have to be at dance?" he asks. Just so he knows when to drop me off. "I have it at 5 and it ends at 11." I say. His face turns shocked. "That late? When do you sleep?" he turns full on dad mode. "Not very often." I joke. "And you have another competition Saturday?" he asks again. "Yes, in Vegas. But you don't have to come if it's too far. I have the team. Why are you asking all these questions?" I say. He pulls me over to him. "I'm not missing it. And because, I wanna know what day to hide my face." he laughs. "Okay, but you're gonna be surrounded by all girls on the bus. Keep one eye open when you sleep." I warn him. "Yeah, okay." he says, not believeing me. Tsk, tsk,tsk.
