The New Blonde

Ok so today was good but I still wasn't really talking to Stephen. I know that it's not his fault that the whole Vikkie thing happened but he was apart of the process. His brother Damon is the one who turned her and both of them are vampires. I really like him but I'm not sure if i will ever be able to get it off my mind. I tried to sit In my room and write in my diary but a part of me wanted to take a risk. I got off my bed and hopped in my car. I wanted to at least fix my friendship part with Stephen. I headed to his house and went up the two steps in the front. I knocked on the door and waited till someone opened it. I was about to turn around when a blonde girl in a towel opened the door.

"Um. Hi is Stephen here" I asked in awkwardness.

"Yea but he's in the shower can I leave a message." She responded looking at me as if she'd seen a ghost.

"Can you just let him know that Elena dropped by."

"OK, I will." She replied.

~Lexi's POV~

"Um Elena stopped by." There was moment of silence until I began to speak again. "What are you thinking, I said as I picked up a picture of Katherine, she looks exactly like Katherine." I finished as I stared into his eyes. He stood with a freezes look on his face. He started to explain how Elena was nothing like Katherine and how she's different and yada yada yada.

"You know what I'm not gonna say amything. Its your birthday and i only see you once a year so I'm not gonna have anything ruin it. We're gonna go to the bar and have a party. Plus I heard there's already a party so why not pretend its for you."

~Skipping a few hours later to the party~

~Stephen's pov~

"Hey Damon have you seen Lexi"

"I thought you and the blonde came together"

"No we decided to meet here"

"Well sorry I haven't seen her" Damon finally answered back.

There was something up with Damon he was stranger then usual.

~ Damon's POV ~

I walked outside and turned a corner I had to do something to sends sheriff Forbes off the vamp trail. When I turned the corner I saw a loving couple spending some "Quality Time." I intercepted by taking a bit and killing the boyfriend. The girl started to freak out. I compelled her not to scream and to say that a girl with blonde hair did this. I went back inside to see lexi sitting at the bar. I happened to sit down next to her and start a conversation.

"What are out doing Damon" she asked.

"Can't I just start a nice conversation with a old pal"

"Other people can but you never."

I turned to my right to see sheriff's cop posey with the girl that was outside. She pointed over to the bar where Lexi and I were sitting at. The cops started walking towards us. Next thing I knew the vervain needle peirced into the skin. They began to drag her outside. Sheriff Forbes managed to get right by the car when Lexi awoke angry. She tried to scare her. Sheriff Forbes shot 6 bullets of wood but none worked. Luckly I came just in time and plunged a dagger through her heart, and watched her die only arms.

~ Stephen's POV ~

I just watched my brother stab my best friend. I was covering Elena's mouth when she looked up at me in sadness. I don't know what happened but I don't think I will ever forgive Damon. I went home where I just drowned my anger and sadness in drinking. I can't believe that just happened and I thought that Damon had humanity left.

~Elenas POV~

I feel so bad for Stephen. Loosing his best friend I don't know wut would have happened if that was Bonnie or Caroline. Tomorrow is a new day. I laid and thought as I slowly drifted off.
