Chapter 16

•Hayes POV•

Wow Taylor thinks that we would look cute together. When he said that, I felt a million butterflies flying through my belly. I mean like I knew we were friendship goals, but I never thought we would ever look cute together.

"Hellloooo. Earth to Hayes," I heard Angel yell from the lake.

"I'm sorry. What?" I asked obviously confused.

"Are you okay? Because you were like literally staring at the ground doing nothing while all of us are in the lake." She said annoyed. I looked at Taylor and I noticed that he was just smirking at me.

"He was probably thinking about his future girlfriend and how hot she would be in a bathing suit," He said with an evil grin as I glared at him. I should've never told Taylor. Just watch him somehow tell Angel.

"Hayes who's this future girlfriend of yours that you're not telling us about??" Nash said as he wiggled his eyebrows. I looked over at Angel and saw that she had her eyebrows raised at me. Something she would do when she wanted to know something which I found extremely cute.

"Oh it's no one..." I said looking down hoping that they would buy it. But I had a feeling that they all knew I was lying.

•Angels POV•

"Oh it's no one..." He said as he looked down. He's obviously lying. I know Hayes and I know that he has a crush on someone, but he just doesn't want to admit it.

UGHHH. Freaking Hayes.

I should just ignore him until he finally tells me who he likes. Heheheh this should be fun.

I looked at everyone else and realized that they were all doing their own thing. I looked over at Hayes and noticed that he was coming my way.

"Ang," I heard him say from a distance. I turned around and began to swim towards Matt who was conveniently right in front of me. "Angel wait!!" I heard Hayes say again.

"You know Hayes is calling your name right?" He said as he looked down at me.

"Yeah but I'm going to ignore him until he tells me who he likes." I said which caused him to form an 'o' with his mouth. All of a sudden I felt two cold hands touch my bare skin. I turned around to see Hayes standing right kin front of me.

"Why were you swimming away from me bestie?" He said with a cheeky smile. I then gave him a disgusted look and turned back around.

"Are you mad at me or something?" He said sadly.

"No she's just not talking to you until you tell her who you like." Matthew told him.

"Angel we both know that you're a very bubbly, talkative person and that you'll eventually give up and just talk to me again." I tapped on Matthew and started to whisper in his ear.

"Tell him that I won't give up and that I will literally ignore him until he does tell me and that I'm going to hang out with Victor right now." He nodded and told Hayes.

As I got out of the lake, I looked at Hayes' facial expression and noticed that it went from happy to sad real quick.

Ugh now I feel bad for ignoring him. But hey it's his fault for not telling me who he likes and plus like I can't ignore him if I'm spending time with him. I grabbed my towel from my bad and dried off and changed into new clothes.

I left through the back gate and started walking towards Victor's house. While I was walking, I decided to text Victor and tell him that I was coming over.

Me: hey❤️!! So I'm like trying to ignore Hayes at the moment and I am currently walking towards your house right now.

Victoe💕🙈: Hi✨❤️ and wait why? But I'll see you in a couple of minutes then🙂

Me: Because he won't tell me who he likes😒 See you in like 10💕

Victoe💕🙈: oh haha. I'll ask him and I'll tell you who it is

Me: aweeee that's one of the many reasons why o love you so much!!!

Victoe💕🙈: Well I love you more❤️

Me: Whatever see you laterrrr

Victoe💕🙈: Okay byeeeee

Who can this mystery girl be??

•Hayes' POV•

I got out of the lake and then I angrily stomped up to my room and slammed the door shut. I punched the wall that was right by my door and just started to throw everything on the wall.

Like I said before, he literally always does this to me. Like whenever I'm hanging out with one of the girls that I like, they are always either a) asking about victor or b) complaining about how they wish Victor was here with them. It's so annoying ughhhh!!!

Victor is going to break Angel's heart and I know that she will be crushed. I just don't want to do that to the most beautiful girl ever.

It was all quiet until I heard laughter outside of my door. A couple of minutes later I heard several knocks on my door. I wiped my tears that were now starting to form in my eyes and opened the door.

"What?" I spat at the nine guys in front of me.

"Haaas what's wrong?" Nash said sympathetically.

"It's just that..." I hesitated and decided to finally tell them that I like Angel. "I like Angel and she left to go and hang out with Victor."

It was quiet for a few seconds until they all erupted into laughter. By now Taylor and Cameron were in the ground.

"What?" I asked clearly confused.

"We all knew that. It was so obvious. Like you always look at her with lovey dovey eyes." Matt said.

"Yeah and we all kind of guessed it was her because when she came back earlier you just stopped talking about the girl you like and started to check her out." Aaron said chuckling.

"Wow I'm really bad at hiding things then. But what am I going to do?"

"Dude just go and tell her that you like her already." Johnson replied.

"But I don't want to ruin our friendship."
