Chapter 10

•Victor's POV•

When I got home, I quickly ran to my room, slammed the door, and yelled into my pillow.

I am so stupid. I promised Angel that I would never hurt her, but look what I did, I hurt her. I'm such a terrible person.

This would've never happened if I just never went to the restroom. I just wish she would be able to forgive me, but I'm pretty sure she won't though. I just still love her so much, I can't just let her go.

I walked over to my pencil sharpener and took the blade out.

I put it over my arm and sliced my skin.

One cut.

Two cut.

Three cut.

Four.

I counted to myself. I'm sorry Angel, I'm sorry.

•Angel's POV•

Celia and Alison decided to drag me to the park to cheer me up. Which actually did. But then I soon saw a guy that looked vaguely familiar sitting by hisself.

Being the curious person I am, I decided to go talk to him. As soon as I was 10 feet away from the guy I realized that it was Hayes.

"Hey," I said as I sat next to him.

"Hi," he responded.

"Why aren't you with Jordan?" I questioned.

"She went to get her braces tightened. So she won't be back until later." I nodded in response.

"Hayes I need to tell you something."

"Yeah, sure, what's up?" He said as he turned to face me.

I let out a heavy sigh and told him, "Jordan cheated on you."

He looked at me with a blank face. "She what?"

"She cheated on you with Victor..." I said as I looked down not wanting him to see the pain in my eyes.

"What?! I'm going to kill him!" He yelled as he got up and started walking out of the park.

"Where are you going?" I said as he turned around to face me.

"Victor's house," he said back. I looked at him with wide eyes. Shocked that he would actually attempt to kill his best friend.

"Please don't..." I begged.

"Angel, he even managed to hurt you!" He screamed causing me to flinch at his sudden outburst. He then started walking to Victor's house. I, of course, ran after Hayes.

"Hayes don't!" I warned jumping in front of him.

"Angel get out of my way," he said through gritted teeth as if he was about to punch me.

"Just note that he is your best friend and you've known him since you two were in kindergarten." Which caused him to sigh in defeat.

"Why're you taking his side when all he did was hurt you too?"

"Because I know he has a good explanation to what happened."

"Angel it's my job to protect you when Carter isn't here and you're like my little sister. And I need to beat him up because he hurt you."

"Okay fine, but before you think about punching him or anything just let him explain." I said as I started walking with him to Victor's house.
