Tao ~ EXO

A/N Okay I know Tao technically ISN'T a part of EXO anymore (I'm really sad about this but Luhan and Kris made me a little numb to this), but it will make the story better lol. Enjoy!

"Vic! There you are!" I turned around to see my best friend, Tao running towards we with a dorky smile in his face,

"Why did you want to hang out today? You all of a sudden wanted to hang out so I was confused." He laughed a little before swinging his arm around my shoulders, 

"What I can't even hang out with my best friend? Should I just leave and go home?" My heart broke a little, 'Best friend? I don't think of you like that...' If it wasn't obvious, I like - no love him. We've been best friends ever since we were little and I don't think that he will ever know that I love him. 

"T-That's not what I meant! I mean-" I waved my hands in front of my face as I could feel my heart beat racing,

"I was just kidding Vic! Let's go to the zoo and look at pandas! I've been waiting to go for a while now, lets go!" He starts pulling me along with him and we go onto the bus.

We sat down next to each other on the bus and Tao took out his phone and a pair of headphones,

"Do you want to listen to music with me? I think I have a pretty good playlist." I smiled and nodded as handed me a headphone.

He turned on his playlist and I couldn't contain my laughter,

"Really?" I asked while he looks at me with a blank face,

"What? This is my favorite playlist!" I took his phone and started laughing again, realizing that his while playlist is all EXO songs!

"I should've known that you were going to make me listen to all of your group's songs!" He busted out in laughter but then put the headphone back in my ear,

"Just listen to it!" He started playing a song that I knew very well, EXO's "XOXO" it's one of my favorite songs by them! If I confessed to him, would it be weird? We're both guys and have been best friends ever since we were in diapers.

As soon as we arrived at the zoo, Tao dragged me over to the pandas without taking a glance at the other animals. I wonder if he does this for a living, if he frequently goes to the zoo and only looks at the pandas.

"We're here! Look Vic, they were all waiting for me!" He points to all the pandas near the fence, looking at Tao, "I'm back! Did you miss me?" He smiled as once again, all the pandas did was stare at him as he waited for a response. 

"Tao, can we go look at the other animals? If we're going to spend the whole day here, lets at least look around." I looked at Tao as he smiled and looked towards me, 

"Of course we can! Lets go look around!" We wave bye to the pandas and then go look around the zoo. 

We looked at the koalas, dolphins, flamingos, giraffes, and alligators! But eventually we both got hungry and decided to take a break from walking all around the zoo. 

"This place is really amazing!" Tao shouts as we walk towards the food court, 

"Of course its amazing even though you've probably been here multiple times! You only come here to see the pandas!" He laughs loudly and I can't help but to laugh with him, even though we attracted strange stares from the people around us. 

While we were walking, we saw a gift shop stand and quickly bought matching beanies to remember this day as it was out first visit to the zoo together! We arrived at the food court and quickly found a table since it was crowded inside. 

"You stay here and I'll go get food okay Vic? Don't go anywhere!" He shouts and disappears into the crowd to get us food. 

I quietly looked around and noticed that around our table, they were couples everywhere! Even though I felt a little jealous, at least I'm hanging out with my crush who also happens to be my best friend! As much as I want us to be more, that will never happen. 

I took out my phone and stared playing some games that I had on there since it was taking Tao forever to get us food. All of a sudden though, I got a text from him,

Vic! 

Meet me by the penguins! There's a great spot for us to eat there! And I know how much you love penguins so you'll love it! Hurry! 

I smiled and quickly got up and exited the food court and made my way towards the penguins, excited to see them! And eat with Tao, but come on, penguins are adorable!

When I reached the penguins, there was no sign of Tao anywhere, just a bunch of people watching the penguins. I decided to watch them as well while waiting for Tao to show up. 

As I was watching them though,  penguin cam out from the side wearing a sign, 

Vic! You made it!

I furrowed my eyebrows as I rubbed my eyes to make sure that I wasn't dreaming. But I wasn't other people were confused as well,

"Who's Vic?" One person asked,

"Is that penguin supposed to have a sign on it?" Another asked. 

I wanted to join in, but I couldn't help but stare at the penguin. 

I know this might be awkward but,

Another one came out and I widened my eyes in surprise, this has to be Tao right? If this is a prank I'm seriously going to be upset. But then one more came out that made me even more confused, 

Turn around for me!

I turned around, just like everyone else to see Tao standing in the middle of the crowd, smiling at me. 

"You made it Vic!" I smiled and nodded as everyone realized that Vic was me, and made a way for Tao to get to me, 

"We're just going to eat, what's the big fuss?" He smiled and took out a penguin plushie, 

"Press on the hand. Then you'll understand." I took the penguin and pressed on its hand, 

"Vic, I've liked you fro the longest time possible. As much as I was afraid to tell you, if I didn't tell you now, I would never be able to tell you. So-" Tao's voice cut off from there, making me suspicious about what he was going to say. 

I looked at Tao in curiosity as he smiled and held both of my hands, 

"So will you go out with me?" My heart stopped, is this really happening? Is my crush asking me to go out with him?!

At a loss for words, all I could do was nod yes in reply. He smiled brightly and kissed both of my cheeks. 

"He said yes guys! I'm so happy right now!" Everyone was smiling and started clapping which made me feel awkward but Tao made me feel better just by being there, "Lets go visit the pandas again!" He smiled and started dragging me AGAIN towards the pandas. 

As soon as we got there, he showed to the pandas and smiled brightly,

"Meet the new member of the family! My boyfriend Vic!"

I'm sorry if this isn't as good as you hoped it was! This is the first time I've written a boy x boy story so I'm kind of worried about what you think of it! I hope you liked it though as much as I had making it!
