Jihoon - Produce 101

"Nami did you see him?! He's walking down the hall right now!" Bora yelled at me while I was sitting at my desk studying for the upcoming final. I didn't understand what was so important about Park Jihoon coming back to school again. He was a simple person just like us, just because he appeared on one of the most popular TV shows in Korea and is one of the most popular contestants doesn't mean that he is any different from us.

Jihoon was a simple student at sopa who was complimented on his good looks but was never really idolized by anyone. He had his own group of friends and always came to school. It was soon after he started to show up in Produce 101 that the students at our school recognized and started to idolize them.

To me he was pretty cute, I actually had a crush on him myself even before he became the school's idol. We had known each other because we both used to train at Fantagio but he left a good while after we both started training there. We became friends through that company but didn't really talk to each other that much.

When I first saw him at Fantagio I thought he was another pretty boy that didn't have any substance to him. When we became friends I realized that he was really sweet and my feelings grew for him. After he left my feelings still hadn't changed since we would greet each other in the halls.

After Produce 101 though, he rarely showed up at school and I wasn't sure if I even still really liked him. Many girls also started to like him so it seemed as if everyone was in a competition to talk or see him in the times he did come to school.

"Nah I'm okay. Why do you even wanna see him Bora? I remember the first time I pointed him out to you, you didn't even take a glance in his direction." Bora suddenly scoffed which caused me to look in her direction and pull my eyes away from the book I was reading.

"That's because I was fixing my hair! You dropped the subject after so I didn't think he was important." She turned back to look to the hallway,

'Yeah right I remember you dissing him about how he must not be that cute.' I quietly laughed at her as she spent her time gawking like the many other girls in out class.

"I don't know if you forget every time I tell you or it just goes in one ear and out the other but Jihoon IS in our class." I looked back at my book to study the key points that would be on final and listened to the girls close by just in case anything interesting happens. I was curious about Jihoon since I do have a crush on him.

"Welcome back Jihoon!"

"How is Produce 101 treating you?"

"You look like you got even better looking today!"

As soon as he entered out classroom he was thrown compliments from everyone left and right. My curiosity of how he looked got the best of me when I decided to look for him. 'He's not here though?'

"What are you looking for?" I had to turn my body a full 360 degrees to see who was talking to me. To my surprise Jihoon was sitting right next to me, he had taken a chair and placed it right next to my desk. It took a while for me to process that he wasn't just greeting me, he was starting an actual conversation. "Nami?"

I suddenly jolted out of drifting in my thoughts. "O-Oh I wasn't looking for anything in particular, I thought i heard something." He gave a nod and looked around a little. There was a moment of silence before he looked in my direction again.

"Have you seen me on Produce 101 yet?" I looked at him with a curious look, why was he asking me this? Did he want a specific answer?

"I've seen some of the first episode but since we had a lot of tests I wasn't really able to catch up on it. Sorry!" He laughed softly and looked down while rubbing the back of his neck, he looked like he was embarrassed. It was honestly kind of a cute gesture, I had never seen him do this so it was kind of an attack on my heart.
