Rejected... Now I'm Back

Chapter 5: Unraveling

It's been two years since that dreadful day, the day I was rejected and left for dead. I'm sure you're wondering how I survived so I'll explain. Apparently after miles of floating in the water my body was washed ashore. A passing pack my new pack the Blood Assassin's pack they are basically a pack of werewolf hybrids that are called upon by the supernatural elders to keep peace and whatever else they are told to do. So basically we are the supernatural Assassin's and in some way I'm the strongest of a pack of 15. Yes it's small but hybrids are very rare.
~Flashback~
Damien's P.O.V(after they figure Aphrodite is dead)
I know I fucked up I killed my own mate but how in the hell was I supposed to know she couldn't swim and it was far from intentional I was just so angry and so was my wolf. Because of her my mother is dead and and my sister might as well be, she has been in a coma since that incident. My wolf remains silent but I hear his whimper every now and then from the bank of my mind where he seems to stay permanently unless he is absolutely needed. Like now with the pack staring at me in sorrow and at a complete loss.
"YOU ARE TO TELL NO ONE OF WHAT HAPPENED HERE. IF YOU DO YOU WILL BE SEVERELY PUNISHED" I Alpha command on them all and receive 'yes alpha' from everyone but Aaron.
"Do you understand" I ask through clenched teeth soon after I get a reply through the pack mindlink "yes Alpha" he spits out with such distaste that I almost cringe. After dismissing everyone I head home, take a shower and throw myself on the bed before I know it tears are falling from my eyes. Why? How could I do this? She was always beautiful and I had always been in love with her but when I think of what she did I turn angry. But was it really her fault? What could a six year old do? I finally start to drift to sleep with tears still falling from my eyes. Thinking of the whys and what ifs.
~Unknown P.O.V~
Me and my pack were running through the woods on our way home from another mission accomplished when out of no where one of the pack mates mindlink me.
"Alpha come quick" Javi says. Following his scent I follow it to the lake when a sweet smell of strawberries and coconuts hits me but an even stronger smell hits me and it smells of blood.
"Alpha hurry please" he says by now other members have gathered and from the gasp all around it pushes me to step closer to see what all the fuss is about. My breathe catches in my throat at the site in front of me. I'm an assassin for crying out loud and I've seen some gruesome stuff but this is appalling. The female members are crying and the males are growling in anger. Laying next to the river bend is a young woman who looks to be dead. She has cuts and bruises everywhere and she looks as if she's been starved to death. Sniffing the air you can smell she is a werewolve but she isn't healing like a proper wolf. Listening closely I can hear a faint heart beat but its not very strong.
"We must get her to the pack doctor quick her heart is weakening by the second and her wolf is barely there" I say stepping towards her. The closer I get I feel my throat tighten once more because even with all the cuts and bruises you can still see her beauty.
"Javi I'll take her, you link the doctor and tell her we're coming and get her prepared for what she is to see" I say tensely. Carefully lifting her I feel I slight shock but decide not to think to heard on it, it could just be from her cold body. Taking off at full speed I'm careful not to jostle her to much as to not cause more damage.
"Everything is ready Alpha Xavier" Javi says through the mindlink.
"OK I'm coming through" I say just as I walk through the doors. I hear I gasp and whimper and turn to see Dr.Quinn staring at the girl in my arms.
"Are you going to help or just continue to stand the and stare" I snap getting impatient and my wolf is on edge for some reason.
"Right sorry put her in the room then you must go" she says I do as she ask and although it takes everything in me I leave and wait. All the while having a million thoughts run through my mind mainly. Who she is? What has happened to her? Who did this? And most importantly when I find out I'll kill them.
