When Tim woke up he immediately noticed the empty space beside him. He reached out for her and was meet with coldness. He sat up a little to see if she was anywhere in the room, but it was empty and the door was cracked open. "Maybe she went to get a glass of water" he thought to himself as he pulled the covers off of himself. He rubbing his eyes and stood up. His body was still tired from the rough day he had. After his conversation with Lucy 3 weeks ago he decided to ride with her for today and it was indeed very exciting.
He walked out of the bedroom and walked out into the living area. Kojo was sleeping in his dog bed, which told Tim that he was waiting for Lucy and that she was clearly not in the house at all. His tiredness went away and he walked back into the bedroom to grab his phone and the time read 1:22 AM. He didn't see and calls or text from anyone. He walked back out of the bedroom. "How long was she gone for? why didn't she wake me? Where did she go?" He mind was racing with thoughts, when the front door opened. He looked up from the CO and saw Lucy and she looked at him and smiled slightly. "I hope I didn't wake you." She said closing the door and taking her shoes off.
"No, no..... I just was getting up to use the bathroom when I noticed you weren't here."
He said trying to keep his voice leveled.
She walked over to him and kissed him. "I know you are lying to me." She said and grabbed his hand. "Sorry I left without saying anything." She said pulling him up off the couch. She held his hand the entire way to the bedroom. "You're going to laugh when you find out what I did." She said smiling at herself. When they made it to the bedroom Lucy slowly closed the door.
Tim sat on the edge of the bed and ran his hand through his hair. "What happened?" He asked curiously. "Lucy took her sweater off. "I left the necklace you gave me at the station. When I realized I left in a hurry and forgot to text you." She said pulling the neck from her pants pocket.
He looked at the necklace and smiled. "You could not wait to get it tomorrow?" He asked. She shook her head no and put the necklace on the dresser.
His mind was able to rest when he realized why she left. He was looking down at the floor and didn't notice Lucy was standing in front of him. He looked up at her and she was wearing one of his shirts. "Hi." She said softly. "Hi." He whispered back and put his hands around her waist. He pulled her down on top of him and started kissing everywhere. She laughed.
Even though Tim was scared of the thought of Lucy leaving. He realized that Lucy isn't the type of person to leave in the middle of the night.
