Chapter 8: Related by blood

Annie's POV

Violet walked towards Erwin and he knocked her out. Why the hell would he do that. My eyes slightly widened. I grabbed the knife that Violet put in the table and ran towards Erwin. I screamed and cut his cheek. Everyone gasped and Erwin fell to his knees. I stood there breathing heavily and staring at Erwin.

He looked up and twitched his eye. He stood and I took a step back. "What was that for" He chocked out. "You don't hurt Violet. Not on my watch" I said still heavily breathing. "Ha someone has a crush" he laughed. So did everyone else. Even Levi. "I don't like her shes my-" I couldn't finish. I looked down at Violet. I dropped the knife and picked her up. I ran out with her and went to the nurses.

"Will she be ok" I said. "Shes fine" a nurse smiled. "Can I see her" I asked. The nurse nodded and I went into her room. She was out cold. I held her hand and started to tear up. Her hand reminded me of my past. Me holding Violets hand as she was forced to leave. I refused to let her go.

"No daddy she cant leave" I said holding onto my sisters hand. "Its our only choice" My father said and picked up Violet. I screamed and started crying. No one noticed me. It was like I was in my own world. I watched as men took my sister away. She was going to the castle to protect her. To protect us. She's too dangerous.

I gasped and my eyes widened. I started crying. I felt a faint hand on my cheek. I looked down and saw Violet touching my face. "You remembered didn't you" she smiled. I nodded. She chuckled. "Good times. Sis" I hid my face in my hands. "No need to hide" Violet said. The door creaked open and in popped Sasha, Krista, Ymir, and Mikasa. I wiped my tears and when back to my emotionless self.

Sasha held out some bread, Krista came with smiles, Ymir didn't have anything and Mikasa had a box. "Whats in there" I pointed to Mikasas box. "Its for Violet" she swallowed. Violet opened it and took out a necklace with half a heart hanging off it. "Where the other half" She asked. Mikasa held put her hand to me and had the other half of the heart on a necklace. I took it and we all talked.

Violets POV

I left the nurses and I had a lot of thinking to do. Mid though Jean came into my room. "Um hi" he said. "Yes" I asked. "I wanted to know if you wanted to come for dinner. I nodded and we both left. I walked into the dining hall with Jean and Levi stared at us. I saw Jean wink at Levi from the corner of my eye. I sighed and sat with Jean, Annie, Mikasa and Eren. Jean and Eren fought most the time while me, Mikasa, and Annie sat in silence.

I walked past Erwin and saw he had a scar on his left cheek. "Hey Erwin" I stopped him. "What" She gave me sass. "Where'd ya get that" I pointed to my cheek where his scar was. "Your girlfriend Annie gave it too me" I raised my eyebrows. "You know we're related by blood right?" I asked. He looked surprised. He shook his head and we walked off.

I finally went on a mission. We had Erwin, Annie, Jean, Connie, Mikasa, Eren, Armin, Sasha, Levi and myself. So basically everyone. We all leap off our horses at the same time. We moved through the mission easily until Annie went missing. I started to freak out. I got back on my horse and went in the direction I last saw her go. I saw a flash out of the corner of my eyes and and stopped my horse. I ran towards the flash and saw the necklace. Her half. I grabbed and and started to sob.

The a titan grabbed my hood. I stayed as still as possible. I finally looked up and saw a titan that looked suspiciously like Annie. "A-Annie" I chocked out. The titan smiled. "VIOLET" I heard someone yell from behind. I looked and Levi. Annie let go of me. I stopped him. "DONT HURT HER" I yelled back. "HER?" He asked "ITS ANNIE" I answered. He scoffed and pushed me out of the way.

That was the last straw. My father giving my away. Being forced to join the scouts. Not allowed to protect the one thing I had left. I was done.

I bite under my tumb and turned into a titan.
