Chapter 4: Cadets

I fell to my knees. I couldn't move. Petra. Me and her we're best friends. Though it didn't seem as we were. I can assure you. We definitely were. Hanji put her hand on my head. "Captain shes not dead. We actually don't know if she's alive or dead." I jolted my head up and the light from Hanjis glasses reflected into my eyes burning them.

I stood up and wiped my eyes. I didn't want to be seen as the kind of person to be emotional when someone died. Death was inevitable. We couldn't stop it we could only experience it. "Ok im going to find her" everyone gasped. "Petras strong she'll find her way back" Levi said hoping off his horse.

I walked right up to him. He was quite short. Or was I just tall. Probably both. "What if she has broken legs. The gear would be useless" I snapped at him. He rolled his eyes. "Fine then im going with you" He said jumping on his horse. "No" I cried and stomped my feet like a toddler.

"Yeah Levi show her the way" Erwin said as he gathered a few people and went
inside. "Why cant you take me" I looked over to Hanji. "You have to teach him to work with others. Now go" she said walking off to a group of sobbing people. I looked over to Levi who sat on his horse just starring at me. I sighed and went to my room to put on my uniform.

Levi brought me to where they last saw Petra. I hopped off my horse and started to look. Levi stayed on his horse. "Hey are you not going to help" I said to him. "Nope" He said back. I rolled my eyes and continued looking. I heard a faint groan from the forest. I moved a few branches out of the way and saw a bloody Petra. I gasped and grabbed her.

Levi zipped right past me into the forest. "LEVI" I yelled. But it was too late. He was too far in the forest to hear anyone. Petra struggled in my arms. "Petra its fine your going to be ok" I said stroking her ginger hair. I put her on my horse and when looking for this idiot. I didn't go too far because there was a chance a titan could get to Petra.

I stayed at my horse waiting for Levi to come back. I saw a flash out the corner of my eye and guess who it was. None other then the runway. I took out my blades and cut  his left cheek. He grabbed his cheek "what the hell was that for" he said. "Don't ever runway away again" I hopped on my horse and took the lead back to HQ.

When we got back nurses took Petra and attempted to tend to Levis wound. Of course he refused. Hanji came running out "what happened to him" she said nodding at Levi. "He ran away and when he came back I cut him." I chuckled. Hanji and I silently laughed. "Well I have a surprise for you" Hanji smiled tugging at my sleeve.

We were in the conference room. Inside was Erwin and a few people I didn't know. "Tomorrow the 104th cadets will be coming in. We need you to watch over them" Erwin said. I nodded and one of the people handed me a couple paper with a bunch of names. I flipped through them scanning the names. My eyes caught the attention of a male by the name of 'Eren Jeager'.

I awoke to yelling. Obviously the cadets arrived. I slipped on my uniform and got the paper. I quickly ran down and stood next to some people. A man I didn't really know was asking some people their names. He asked a young boy and he responded with Eren Jeager. My eyes widened. "Why are you here" the man said. "To kill all the titans" Eren answered. "Then you'll fit perfectly with Captain Violet" He said pointing to me. I stood there and smiled at Eren.

A while later everyone went to their cabins. I walked into the boys cabin and it went silent. A young boy with a long face walked up to me. "Hey pretty lady" He said winking. "Back off horse face" I pushed him away. Everyone chuckled. "Im just here to check up on you guys" I said looking around.

A couple of boys caught my eye. A taller one with freckles. A short one with what looked like a shaved head. And a very tall one with sweat dripping from his face. I sat down at a table. The chatter continued. The same boy from earlier came to me again. "You know I have a name right" He snapped at me. "What is it" I asked. "Jean" I answered. "I like horse face better" Eren said walking up to us. Jean stood up. He was a bit taller then Eren.

"You wanna fight" Jean said. "How about no" I sighed pushing the two apart. I was taller then both of them so it was quite intimidating for them. Jean came to about my shoulder and Eren came down to my breasts. Jean walked off and a bit later so did I.
