I was six...I was six when I was bitten. I was alone at a foster home while my "parents" were out shopping. I walked out to the back yard and looked around at the fences blocking me in.
We lived in New York so I lived in the middle of a big city. I am not one of those cliché werewolf stories were I wandered out into the middle of the woods and got attacked.
I was in my yard, during the day, in the middle of a big city. I stepped out into the chilly air of October and examined what I saw in front of me.
I saw a dark figure that resembled a dog with glowing red eyes. I was still with both fear and curiosity. It growled and slowly walked towards me...I still couldn't move.
It got close enough where I could feel is breath on me. I could tell it was confused as well that I wasn't running or screaming. It flinched and quickly curled its lips in a growl and snapped at me, biting my ankle.
