I stare at it in awe as the sunlights raise softly hits the ocean like blue daggered crystal in the box. The feeling I got from it felt like it was holding secrets no one knew about. I felt like Its beauty was drawing me closer than I already was, wanting to whisper every secret it knew to me. As I stare at its enchanting beauty once again in awe like I have been, Jordan speaks again.

"It needs you..."

As I let her speak, I no longer stare at the crystals beauty but keep my eyes on the jewelry pretending to be lost in my own world.

"... It's like Jack. It needs someone to protect... You can't abandon and hide from it. It needs you and so does he." She says. I furrow my brows not even bothering to look up but keep my gaze upon the box. She then rests her hand on my shoulder and lightly squeezes.

"Just think about it. ok?" After that she pulls her hand away and began walking back to the house.

I knew for a fact she was right. I can't hide from it. It's stuck with me whether I liked it or not. But the problem is that I don't want it. I never did want it and especially didn't want this. This life. It was like god wanted to toy with me and my emotions of all people. But why? What did I do to deserve this? Yeah maybe it didn't really turn out so bad, but I still wanted my old life back, without having to be a 'mate' of an 'Alpha' male and just not be so god damn 'important'. I huff a sigh and begin my journey to the house with the box in hand. I'll have to speak to him sooner or later and I guess it's better to get it done now.

As I take the path back to the house, I began to hear whimpering coming from a bush ahead of me. I suddenly wonder who it might be and start jogging towards the sound. Once I'm around the hedge I suddenly see a sad whimpering Cody licking his right paw. Once I turned that corner Cody jumped and landed on three feet while his right one was lifted out of my view growling at me. He then quickly acknowledged my features and his angered appearance turned apologetic. I crouch down to his level and observe Cody's injury. I asked for for his paw but he wouldn't let me see it.

"Cody..." I warned, "let me see your paw."

He hesitated but he then leans over to me so his paw was in my view. The bottom of his paw was dripping in blood as something sticks out from the pad of it. The structure of his foot looked swollen. He must of sprained it I thought. I give him a solemn look as he returned the gesture. I begin to lean him into my lap so that he could be more comfortable and so that I could get a good view of the splinter. I sigh.

"Well, it's not broken. Just sprained." I assured him. He licks my wrist as I tamper with his paw.

"I'm going to get the splinter out, ok?" I ask. As If he understood, he places his head into my side hiding his face. I nod and carefully turn his paw. As I pinch the tiny wooden like toothpick and pull it out as quickly as I could, Cody released muffled battle cries and whimpers while attempting to retract his paw. I carefully restrain it form going anywhere and begin to whisper sweet nothings into his ear hopefully to calm him down as he squirms in my arms.

"Cody it's gone, it's ok." I tell him soothingly. Cody struggles to get out of my grasp once more but then his struggles became less violent. He takes big long breathes before he begins to relax in my arms.

"Good boy, your alright." I say calmly petting his soft and fluffy ears. Cody then begins to wag his tail slightly and pulls his head from between my arm and waist.

"See? Your fine, buddy!" I say smiling greatfully. He jumps from my arms, being careful not to injure his paw more than it already was, and starts to lick my face crazily like a mad dog. I giggle as he slobbers my face with his miniature tongue.

"Okay! Okay! Your welcome!" I squeal happily as I attempt to get him off me. I succeed and place him in my arms carefully as I examine his puffy wrist.
