I now have 24 hours to get ready to go into hiding. 6 of those hours will be spent at school. And apparently there is a new group of kids in the area, that are starting today.

"They are probably going to be like the rest and and call you a freak without even knowing you. Don't worry though, there is something different about them." someone said. I don't know who, so I turned in circles looking for anyone, but there was no one there.

"Who said that?" I yelled. 'Oh great now I'm going crazy' I thought to myself.

"No your not. My name is Leah. You will be meeting me in less than 24 hours. But it will be a very painful process. But your not like most people. Just remember you are strong, stronger than you could ever imagine." Leah said.

"What do you mean 'painful process'?" I asked. 'I'm confused and I don't get confused!' I yelled at myself.

"You will find out soon. But for now, go to school and get home as soon as possible. If anything happens, GET OUT!" Leah told me.

Next thing I know, I'm at the school entrance.

Our school was full of all the cliche groups; the jocks, the nerds, the sluts, the emo/goths, and all the rest even outcasts. Me, I don't belong to any of the groups. I'm the outcast of outcasts, the reject of rejects.

As I strolled down the corridor to get to my locker at the end of the hall, everyone parted like the red sea. Everyone was staring at me, which wasn't new. They always do. But there was something different in their stares. Something I couldn't put my finger on.

Then it hit me like a tone of bricks, well not quite, more like the principal.

"Lucy Bell, my office NOW." the principal ordered over the speaker.

"Shit" I muttered under my breath. No one goes to the principals office. So... I must be in the shits.

On the way to the office, I noticed 9 people, standing around, talking. As soon as I opened the door they fell silent. 8 out of 9 turned around and stared at me.

"Just like everyone else" I muttered to myself.

I walked up to the receptionist and she told me to walk right in.

"You wanted to see me sir?" it was meant to be a question but it was more of a statement.

"Yes, don't worry you aren't in trouble. No, you just have to show the new students around." he said with a glint in his eye. "If you don't, I will keep you in for an extra hour after school finishes" he quickly adds with a slight smirk.

"Fine" I state after a minute of silence, and marched out of his office. That's going to come back and bite me, but honestly I don't care.

As I was grumbling to myself, I didn't notice that as I was about to open the door to leave the reception office, someone had burst through the door, slamming it straight into my face. It hit me so hard I should have gotten a broken nose and been thrown backwards, but all I did was stumble a little bit.

I was furious and I mean FURIOUS. I was so mad I didn't even notice the lights flicker then go off or the thunder and lightning going on outside the building. I was so mad I became oblivious to what was happening around me.

Suddenly I felt an extremely large amount of heat start flowing through my body and stop at my hand. As I looked down, I saw a sight that scared me half to death.

My hands were covered in a beautiful red, yellow and orange flame.

I was taking deep breaths, trying to calm down, when I took in my surroundings. Just seeing the flames brought back memorys of when I was little, the day of my familys death.

I shock my head to get rid of the images of the fire that were serging through my head.

I stumbled back into a wall and slid down it till I reached the floor and just sat there. I buried my head in my hands trying to make sence of what just happened but came up blank.

A hand place on my shoulder was enough to jolt me back to reality. I followed the hand and arm all the way to a face, a face that was full of worry, unknown worry, for me out of all people.

Ice blue eyes, black hair, not to stocky build, nicely taned skin, he was what people would define perfect as.

'New kid' was the first though I got when I saw him, well, okay second after he's hot.

"Are you okay?" He asked.

"Ya" was my brilliant reply. I started to get up when he offered me his hand. I hesitantly took it and helped pull me off the floor into a standing position. Once I was back in a standing position I mumbled a quick 'thanks'.

"I'm Ryder Solo" he said introducing himself.

"Lucy Bell. I suppose your the guys I'm meant to be showing around" I replied.

"Well in that case this is Jessie" he pointed to a short blonde girl. "Ruby" blond, "Ashley" brunette, "Laura" red head, "Dustin and Justin" two twin blond guys, "John" blond, "and my brother Axel" he finishes pointing to another blond. They all said a quick ' hi', 'hey', or 'sup'.

"Right, now let's get this over with.'' I said. Then quickly added "oh ya, by the way, what ever you hear about me is more than likely true."

"Are you sure your okay?" Questioned the boy I think is John.

"Yes I am" I replied, then mumbled quietly to myself "this is happening to quickly."

"What's happening to quickly?" Ryder asked.

"Nothing" I said all to quickly.

They all exchanged a strange look and next thing I know I'm clenching my gut and crumpling to the floor. Everyone in the room was some how thrown against the walls and pined there.

"Lucy, just calm down, relax, deep breaths. Relax, as soon as you've relaxed we'll get you out of here, okay?" Someone yelled, I have no clue but I still do as they said which proved to be quite the challenge.

Once everyone had managed to get away from the walls, Ryder and Axel, I think, came rushing over towards me, saying something about 'getting her out of here as soon as possible', what ever that meant.

"Lucy can you hear me?!" Axel asked. I just nodded, unable to form words. "Good, we're going to get you out of school and back to our house, okay?"

"Yeah" I shakely reply. Trying to get up only to fall down again. As I go to try again, Ryder and Axel lifted me up and carried me out of the school with the others following. Once we were out of the school they gently placed me in a vehicle. Ryder got in the back with me while Axel got in the drivers seat. Once Axel started the car that's when everything started to turn black. The last thing I heard before I was completely engulfed by darkness was "Lucy stay with us, please".
