Michael POV
I watch as her cerulean eyes widen in shock, taken aback by my demands. Her mouth opens and shuts several times, with no words coming out. Whatever cool, calm demeanor she'd had before was rattled.
It was like watching her true personality come through; the awkward and shy girl I honestly expected her to be. From the moment I laid my drunk eyes on her, I thought I'd seen an angel.
The first thought I'd had when I turned around was something along the lines of "Shit I must've drank more than I thought, 'cause there is no way someone this hot could possibly be human."
But she was, and that made her more magnificent. Just from a short conversation with her, mostly yelling on her part, I could tell that she was putting on an act. The harsh, kick-your-butt attitude was all a cover- a mask.
"Why should I tell you anything?" She manages to eventually stutter out. I feel my smirk become more pronounced, amused by her clearly flustered reaction.
This was the best part about acting like an asshole- reading people's reactions was like reading a sign on top of their heads. The way their eye's opened, mouths hung in shock and the stiffening of their posture is a simple was to see their original reactions, the way they react to anything. That's what I live for.
"Well Princess, you don't have to tell me anything but I know you will eventually spill everything." I drawl, pretending to pick my nails.
"And how do you plan on that?" She replies, beginning to slip back into the comfort of the chair. She was starting to relax back into that cold shell again, and I refused to let that happen.
"I have my ways of persuasion." I say with a quirk of my eyebrow, the metal bar through it wiggling. This was one of my signature moves. It unsettled people, seeing metal things shoved through people's faces. 'It isn't natural' they claimed. "It often has something to do with my mouth and you screaming my name, but I won't give to much away. Don't want to spoil the surprise."
I watch her shift slightly in the chair, crossing her ankles and finding different ways of fidgeting. I was making her uncomfortable. Perfect. "So, are you going answer me? Or do I have to go straight to persuasion? Because I am perfectly happy to do that."
I watch her lips purse slightly, and I can almost hear the cogs whirling in her brain. It's like I can imagine what is going through her mind right now: tell me everything and have the possibility of me leaving, or not saying anything and have me stay longer...
I'm guessing she chose the former because seconds later the frown between her eyebrows flattens and she lets out a slow, "What do you want to know?"
"What I asked before, Princess. Name, age, and virginity status." I wink. She rolls her eyes and leans back in the chair, tilting her head to observe me. Little did she know I was analyzing everything she did, picking out whether she was worth the effort or not.
"My name is Rinai Magro, I'm twenty years old." She says unhurriedly, like she was trying to refrain from saying to much.
"Virginity?"
"My virginity is none of your business, asshole." She snaps back, her nose scrunching in disgust. I simply shrug and watch her. Rinai looks around the room in an attempt to avoid making eye contact with me again. The silence drags, filling the room.
"What, no twenty questions?" She sasses, finally uncomfortable with the stretching silence. I mentally note her reaction in my head: Uncomfortable with long breaks of silence. Good to know.
"Well, I don't know if you're going to want to answer the kind of questions I want to ask... You don't you have any questions for me?" I say, flashing a cocky smile.
A small smile broke her face, and I was instantly enraptured. Whilst she was thinking of questions to ask me that I would most likely avoid, I took the time to look closer at her appearance.
Her teeth were straight and pearly, perfectly framed by full pink lips. An adorable button nose sitting squarely between the most blue eyes I had ever seen. They were truly incredible with a darker shade on the outside, slowly lighting towards the pupil. They outshone even on of my mate Luke's eyes, and it took an amazing pair of eyes to do that.
And her body, oh my god. Did she have to sit with a single leg bent up towards her, giving me almost a direct view all the way up them? Her long legs were perfectly on show in those tiny denim shorts, and it took all the self-control I had to not reach forward and drag my hand up those legs.
A small cough pulled me back to reality, alerting me to the fact that I had probably been staring at her legs for far too long. I awkwardly scratch the back of my neck, the arrogant façade slipping for a few seconds.
"What questions has that pretty little mind come up with, Princess?" I quickly regain control, yanking a signature smirk on my face. Her mouth twitches in annoyance at the given nickname, giving me another reason to continue using it against her.
Looking up at me, she drags a hand through her hair, pulling the chestnut locks over to one side of her neck. I watched her movements, watching the way she slowly dragged her hand over her neck that was begging for me to leave hickeys all over. Damn.
"Firstly, I'd like to ask why the hell you're in my damn apartment? Secondly, how in the hell did you get in my apartment? Thirdly-"
"Slow down, Princess. I can't answer your questions all at once. I know I may not look it, being this devilishly handsome and all, but I am only human. One question at a time, babe."
Rinai sends me a glare, and pulls back the piece of hair which had fallen back down into her eyes. "Why are you in my apartment?"
I tilt my head to the side, thinking over my answer. "To be honest, I don't know. And as for the how did I get in here? Yeah, I don't know that either."
"So what do you know then?" She questions, her sky eyes narrowing once again in suspicion. My mouth twitches up again, not even thinking of the words before they are out of my mouth.
"How to make you scream my name so loud that you get complaints from people three floors down."
Rinai lets out another groan of disgust before standing up. "Okay, hot shot, I think it's time for you to leave now."
"So you think I'm hot?" I grin, slowly rising to my feet in an attempt to look slightly sober. My thoughts was becoming slowly more and more coherent, allowing me to get my limbs and brain to work together.
"W-what? That's not what I meant, I don't think-"
"Don't deny it babe," I cut off her defense, "No one can resist this hot piece of ass, I know."
"Seriously, what can I do to make you leave my apartment right now?" She snaps, pointing at the front door in anger. She practically lines herself up for me, giving me the perfect opportunity.
"Your number would be fantastic, Princess."
