I trudged through the halls of the university, barely paying attention to the idle chit-chat that Bailey was making. She was rambling on again about some boy and how she thought that 'screwing him would make me immensely happy' or some shit, but I really couldn't be in the mood to listen.

Nodding and humming a noise of agreement in whatever Bailey had just said, I pull my phone from my back pocket and checking it again. Nothing interesting popped up except a few Facebook and Instagram notifications. I let out a small sigh and went to put my phone away, but before I could slip it back into my back pocket, Bailey's hand shot out and snatched it from my grip.

"Oh my god, Rinai, what the hell has gotten into you?" She snaps, shaking my fisted phone up near my face. "All you've been doing these past few days is sulking and staring at your phone like you're waiting for it to stare back!"

"It's nothing," I mumble, trying to grab my phone back. Bailey shakes her head and holds it behind her back. "I'm just waiting for a text, okay?"

Bailey lets out a groan. "The only people that text you is your brother, your mother and me! Who the hell could be important enough for you to have the need to check your phone every five-freaking-minutes! Are you seeing someone?"

I shake my head quickly, and try desperately to reach for my phone. Bailey's eyes widen in shock. "You are!" she screeches. "You are secretly dating someone behind my back! Why would you not tell me? Do you hate me? Do I hate them? Wait, no, I bet it is someone I do like! That's why you didn't tell me!"

"No, Bailey, it isn't like that-"

"Isn't like what, Rinai?" Her voice is much quieter this time, hurt slowly creeping through. "Why wouldn't you tell me if you were seeing someone?" she whispers, holding my phone back out limply in her hand.

"I'm not 'secretly dating' anyone, Bai." I explain, pushing a loose lock of hair behind my ear.

"Then what's going on? You can tell me..." Bailey's eyes are widened into the puppy-eyed look. Ah, shit, she knows that this always works on me. I look away from her and try not to make eye contact, but Bailey simply moves back into my line of sight.

At this stage we are still standing in the middle of a crowded University hallway, and people were starting to shoot us glares and mutter profanities under their breath from the obstacles that were in their walking path- us.

"I'll tell you when we get back home, okay? Let's just get out of here first." I compromise, softly grabbing her arm and moving her towards the exit. As we walked from the building I glanced across to the park outside and almost stopped dead in my tracks.

He was there. Right there in front of me, only a glass door separating us. And next to him stood none other than a smirking Calum.
