Seattle was cold, overcast and rainy. It was the type of weather Kallias enjoyed most. His eyes scanned the streets through the hotel window– a bleeding blend of crimson and aquamarine. He was anxious, gift weak with the presence of Toshiro in the suite they all share, but he knew that they were not here for long. But at least the Japanese vampire's close proximity protected them from his mother's visions.
They leave for Forks soon, after three days of waiting.
There are hands on his waist, and Kallias turned in the hold to face Jasper with a smile, staring up at his candy apple eyes. It was beautiful. He was beautiful. The hybrid was relieved Jasper had taken on a proper diet. He was stronger; Kallias can't feel it in the way fingers gripped his hips.
"It's almost time," Kallias said, and everyone in the room stared, anticipation and blood pumping with the expectation of a fight. Kallias didn't think the Cullens and his parents, and whoever they convinced to their cause, could do it without them.
"This won't be easy. Exposing ourselves to the Volturi has consequences—"
"You don't have to," Kallias cut Koji off.
"If you think we wouldn't help you, then you're crazy," Momo said, a warm smile on her face and determination in her eyes."
"When have we ever shyed away from a battle?" Diashin grinned all teeth.
"We never have."
"Never," Ren agreed with his twin.
"I'm grateful to you all, truly," Kallias was overwhelmed by them, that they would risk their lives for him and his parents. Because they certainly weren't doing this for the vampires and the hybrid child. He sighs, "We should hunt. We need to be at our full strength."
"I'll go with Toshiro," Soro had a teasing smile on her face, "I'm sure the two of you want to be alone."
Kallias huffed, feeling his cheeks warm into a blush. "Shut up," he mumbled, and everyone just laughed. Even Jasper, letting out a quiet chuckle.
But he still left alone with his mate.
"My mother might have a vision of us, now that Toshiro is gone," Kallias said, as they weave through the dark alleys of Seattle with the moon shining down in the city.
"There's no stopping us from going back, darling. She can't do anything."
"I guess," Kallias would worry his parents either way. He sighed heavily, as they stand in the shadows outside of a club. His eyes scanned the club, looking at each person to sense who will be their next victim.
He noticed a woman, dressed in green with mischievous eyes, something about her is dangerous. "Her," Kallias pointed at her, and Jasper hummed in thought.
"I'll get her," Jasper said, and made his way towards her. Kallias listened with a smirk as Jasper woos her, sweet words and a gentle caress on her arm. He loved to see Jasper hunt. It was so predatory in a way Kallias had never seen him– so natural. It was magnificent.
It was only when they went into the alley, deep into a side opening, that Kallias had a deeper intuition. She hurt people. There was something in her bag, something dangerous but he didn't know what.
Jasper looked over her shoulder and their eyes met. And he knew it was feeding time.
He was on her in a flash, teeth latching onto her neck and digging in with a crunch. Jasper took the other side of her tanned skin, sinking into the artery with razor sharp teeth. They wrapped their arms around her– not embracing, not the woman, but each other. Jasper placed a hand over her mouth to muffle the screams, other fingers intertwining with Kallias'.
The hot, honey thick blood filled his mouth, and Kallias groaned at the sweet taste, the way it ran down his throat and settled in his stomach. Jasper was sending out waves of pleasure to trick the woman into something enjoyable, but it hit the hybrid like a title wave. Jasper's moan reverberated through her skin, his own ecstasy washing over him.
She was drained of life in seconds, and her body dropped to the floor. Jasper was on him in seconds, pressing him against the alley wall and capturing his lips in a kiss. He tasted like blood and venom, and Kallias melted in his arms.
"Need you," Jasper whispered, breath warm in his mouth even without the need to inhale air.
Kallias' fingers dug into his shoulders, "please, please."
It was all Jasper needed to stick a hand in his pants, wrapping around his cock and stroking. Kallias mimicked the action, grabbing Jasper beneath the waistband of his jeans.
It was fast. It was messy. They way they reach their peaks, milky white dripping between their fingers. Kallias slumped against the wall as Jasper placed kisses along his neck. He didn't want it to end, but staying here with a dead body wasn't safe.
"We need to go," he panted, and Jasper growled in annoyance, but ultimately stepped back. The vampire still looked dazed from his orgasm, and Kallias wasn't faring any better. He looked down at the woman, stared at her purse. He grabbed it in a flash, pulling out a gun with surprise.
"Wonder who she was going to use that on," Jasper said, and Kallias put in back in the bag, dropping in beside her feet.
The hybrid looked at his mate, "How did that feel?" It was only the second human that Jasper had drank from. Kallias wondered if he feels conflicted even if he seemed to enjoy it.
"Fuckin' fantastic, darling," Jasper grinned, a bit on blood on the corner of his mouth. "But I don't think I could do it without you. Gotta focus on the way you feel to get through it."
"Well lucky you'll always have me," Kallias leaned up to lick the blood off, and Jasper's pleasure washed over him, grabbing his hips and trying to kiss him again, "We really have to go."
"But who knows the next time we can fuck," Jasper whispers, and now it was Kallias turn to ignite with need.
"We have to go," he repeated, and the vampire just laughed, kissing his forehead softly. Something pricked at the back of his mind, "We need to leave tomorrow."
"If that's what your gift is telling you."
"Then we'll go tell the others," Kallias needed to get out of this alley before he pounced on the vampire.
Jasper's eyes twinkled in amusement, "Then let's go, darling."
And then they ran back off into the night, hand in hand.
Kallias tried not to worry. He couldn't lose this.
But they would be okay, he pushed himself to believe.
They would be okay.
