Igurashi Daishin imprinted on Leah Clearwater. That was the shock that reverberated throughout the Cullen house. At least to the bears, the wolves, and Kallias. That vampires could care less, but Kallias wasn't interested in knowing them.

It was the first smile he had ever seen on the wolf's face. And the smiling continued.

And if that wasn't enough, Ren imprinted on Jacob...and Yuki imprinted on a vampire...so that was something.

He sat around the vampires, hardly listening to them talk about their battles. His eyes were instead on his family. Watching the way Daishin whispered sweetly to a blushing Leah. How Ren talked animatedly with Jacob about their homeland. And the way Yuki watched Alice with a lovesick expression on his face.

Their imprints were just as enamored.

It filled him with warmth, that everyone had found someone.

"Feel like sneaking off?" Jasper whispered in his ear, even if everyone could hear. And Kallias noticed his father scowling at the vampire, and the way his mother placed a soothing arm on Leon's shoulder to calm him.

So Kallias took Jasper's hand, ignoring the growling huff from his father, and they ran off into the night.

"I thought you said we wouldn't have time," Kallias teased, sighing happily when Jasper grabbed his hips tightly.

They were back on the cliff, grass soft and ocean waves crashing below. Kallias let Jasper guide him to the ground, wrapping him up in his arms. The vampire had changed since Hokkaido, so much of his pain melting away with his delicate expressions and soft touch,

"Can't I just be alone with you now without trying to fuck you," Jasper nuzzled into his hair and Kallias laughed.

"Promise me we'll make it," Kallias said softly, even if he knew it wasn't a promise the vampire could make.

"I won't let anything happen to you darling," Jasper's hold tightened, "fuck, I love you."

"I love you too," Kallias said, and at the admission it was impossible not to get lost in each other.

Kallias moaned softly when Jasper slid inside of him, hard and thick and long. It was a pressure that made him dizzy, almost made him think he couldn't take it.

He gripped Jasper's shoulders tightly, fingers slipping on the smooth, marble of his skin. Jasper's skin glowed in the moonlight, naked body seemingly carved by the gods. His crimson eyes met the hybrid's, full of adoration and love. Kallias had never felt so whole– so complete.

"We'll make it through this, darling," Jasper whispered, before capturing his lips in a soft kiss. His mouth was cold, but Kallias still felt so warm, and the way his hips pressed up into the hybrid had his eyes rolling back.

It was all teeth and tongue and hands touching, cock hard and hole so welcoming. Kallias came with a cry, muffled against the vampire's lips, Jasper following close behind with a rumbling groan.

Kallias let out a heavy breath, staring up at the twinkling stars sparkling in the obsidian sky, feeling Jasper's face pressed into the crook of his neck, kissing his skin softly. He ran his fingers through the vampire's silky, honey hair, and treasured this moment. He wouldn't let anything happen to his family.

He would kill every Volturi if he had to.

Kallias stood tall, posture straight and shoulders broadened. The snow crunched beneath his feet at each shift, and he stared across the clearing into the trees, watching, waiting. All that had needed to be said was spoken already, every touch already placed. The bear pack's allegiance was still to Kallias and his parents, but each shifter had a mate to protect. The hybrid would not hold that against them, as Jasper stood by his side– Major showing in each fiber of his being after what has felt like so long.

His parents were beside him, tension thick in their bodies and expressions almost trying too hard not to show their fear. Kallias had fought in countless battles, but this was different. He couldn't afford to make any mistakes.

"Tell me about the gifted ones again?" Kallias wasn't necessarily asking anyone in particular.

"The twins, Alec and Jane, are the true danger. You'll be able to point them out immediately. They're practically immortal children," Leon said, a slight disgust in his voice at their names, "Jane induces pain, more painful than the change, and Alec can suffocate the senses. The best shot we have is Toshiro or Bella using their shields to disrupt the twins, opening any of us for a finishing blow."

"We'll focus on them," Sora had a determined look on her face, body emanating heat as she prepared to shift.

"Who else?" Kallias asked, curious to know more. He had learned of their gifts through overhearing conversation, but he needed to know directly. It was upsetting that his parents were still sheltering him. He wondered what they expected to do during the fight– hide him away?

"Chelsea is extremely dangerous," Leon sighed, something in his tone that Kallias couldn't understand, "She'll be next to Aro, and will likely stay far from the fight."

"What can she do?" Jasper asked, "Never heard of her."

"She can manipulate emotional ties and sway loyalty. It works with vampires, but with imprints, I've found it's more difficult."

"So she's another one to take out first," Daishin said, and Leah growled lowly beside him. His fingers spread through her fur comfortingly.

But Kallias was just confused. His father seemed to know too much about the Volturi. It set him on edge, and Jasper must have been able to feel his emotions, grabbing his hand tightly and squeezing.

"Anton can shield himself from our senses, so stay alert if you see movement, but can't pinpoint a person. He often attacks from the sides," Leon's jaw tightens, "Felix is unbelievably strong. And Heidi can enamour you– make you less vigilant under her beauty. Renata will physically repel you away. Her shield will direct you away from the kings."

"They're powerful," Momo said, but she had a wicked grin on her face, "Though they've never met us."

There were footsteps in the distance, and with a roar the bears shifted, fearsome beasts the size of small cars. A few of the vampires gasped. No doubt impressed by the beasts, and it made Kallias grin.

"Stay away from Aro, Kal," Leon whispered to him, and Kallias looked over at his father with confusion.

"Dad—"

"Just listen to me, Kal."

"I don't understand—"

"Brother?!"
