"SISSY HASN'T GROWN ONE BIT SINCE LAST TIME!"
You stepped off the stadiometer as Anya giggled at you. You turned back to look at the reading, just to make sure. 'Still 168 cm...' you sulked as you moved back, letting Anya get her height measured. The proprietress moved the headpiece down to the little girl's crown. "Looks like 99.5cm."
"Anya is two millimetres bigger than last time!"
Anya shouted after the proprietress read out her height. She jumped out of the stadiometer, pointing a 'two' up in the air with her fingers.
"I'm sure it's just an error." Loid said as he gazed down at Anya, Yor smiling beside him. "You never know. Kids grow up so quickly." The proprietress turned to look at you. "It's not unheard of." You murmured.
"Indeed."
"Well, with that in mind, we should probably have your uniform made a little bigger."
"But it was quite a shock to hear that you were suddenly married, Yor. You should have told me the last time you were here!" The proprietress wrapped a measuring tape around Anya's waist. "I'm, er, sorry about the other day." Yor apologized.
"And to think that your family is going to the prestigious Eden College. Congratulations." The woman told you and Anya. "Thank you." "Fank you very much." You and Anya said simultaneously.
"Are you an Eden College alum?" The proprietress asked the blonde, pulling the measuring tape away from Anya.
"Oh, no. I went to an insignificant little school out in the country."
"Oh, then do be careful."
The proprietress's tone suddenly lowered. "There's something of a wall between parents who are Eden alumni and those who aren't." You, Loid and Yor stared at her, stunned. "Apparently, this causes discrimination and bullying among the children, too. Oh, and hazing from the honour students, and conflict between the dorm kids and commuters."
Anya's face paled, her body trembling as she continued to listen to the proprietress. "Speaking of, I hear that kidnappings of commuter kids are on the rise." She added, bringing her hand up to her cheek. "It's not surprising, considering most of the kids who can attend Eden are rich."
Anya whipped her to you three, her face drained of all colour. "Anya doesn't wanna go to school anymore."
"Oh, I'm sorry. I didn't mean to scare you." The lady's normal tone returned as she smiled at Anya. "Don't worry. There are plenty of fun things about it, too."
The proprietress pulled the measuring tape away from Anya one last time before folding it up. "Okay, all done with your measurements."
"Let's see, you'll be getting one primary uniform, one secondary uniform. plus a winter coat, a vest, and a sweater for each of them, as three additional items." The proprietress read out, writing down in her notebook. "You're a regular here, so I'll get those done immediately. Oh, you'll be able to get everything else you need from the shop on the corner.
