Hold on 'Till May (Vic Fuentes fan fic)

Chapter 8

I looked up at him, & our eyes met. I couldn't hold in the tears anymore.. I got up & started running. I didn't know too where, I just didn't want too be there. I ran into the barn, as I was tripped by a rake that was hidden by hay. As I lay on the barn floor, silently crying, my vision gets blury, & then all I see is darkness.

I jump up, out of the bed I was just laying on. I look around the room in a panic. Where the hell am I? I hear a slight knock on the door, I just stand, silent. Maybe they don't know I'm awake yet, & they'll leave if I don't answer. The door knob turns, & I just stand there, thinking about who I will have too face. Then he walks in..

"Oh she's finally up! So you just thought, 'Hmm.. Let's sleep all goddamn day & completely forget about all the shit I have too do.' Didn't you? Do you know what time it is?!?" He yells, stepping closer & closer with every word. He grabs my arm, & he pushes me onto the bed. I forgot how strong he was.. But why am I here? What happened last night?

"Devin.. I'm sorry! I.. I don't even know what's going on." I say, trying not too make eye contact.

"Bullshit Kat. Just.. Whatever. Get in bed." He said pushing me down against the bed with his body.

"Devin.. No, please." I say trying too get free from his grasp.

"Shut up bitch!" He yells at the top of his lung, as he raises his hand too slap me..

"Kat! Wake up hun!" I hear a gentle voice saying. As I open my eyes too see the blury world, I see two figures. As my vision comes back too me, I see that it was my mom, she was in her work uniform.. & I look over too the other person.. It was Vic.

"What happened? Where am I?" I say looking around the room.

"Uh.. You tripped in fell in the barn, you passed out, so I put you in my truck & hauled ass too get you too the hospital." Vic whispered too me.

"Sweetie, you have a concusion. & You split your head open, we had too give you stitches. That's why you blacked out. I would've let you continue sleeping, but you were having a nightmare, & that's not good for your head." My mom said as she walked out of the room. Oh.. So that explains the whole Devin thing. It just felt soo real, like it was really happening again.

"I'm so sorry Kat.. I shouldn't of kissed you.." Vic said as he looked down at his feet. "I just...," He leaned down, & gave me a kiss on the cheek & walked out. What the hell is going on?

"Kat!!" I hear a familar voice say. I looked up too see Ash & Tony walking in my room. Ashlee came & gave me a hug. "What happened? Vic told us you were in the hospital, but he wouldn't tell us why!" She said as she sat down on the lower part of my bed. Tony just stood there, being quiet. I think I will like him the best.

"I, ugh.. Fell & hit my head. Nothing serious, really." I say, reassuring her.

"How are you feeling?" Tony said shyly, looking at me, but once we made eye contact, he dropped his head back down.

"I'm feeling okay guys, really. My head just hurts a little. I'm fine! They're letting me go in like an hour." I say as I feel my head too feel the stitches. I couldn't find them, so I gave up.

"Oh, we'll wait with you then! I don't want you too feel all lonely. Plus this hospital is creepy as hell.." She said looking out the door.

"Ash, that's just because you're terrified of hospitals." Tony said with a chuckle.

"I have a good reason too be! Hospitals are scary!" She said as she play punched his shoulder. They were soo close, you could tell there was something else there though.

"So are you two..?" I say interupting their play fight.

"Dating.?" Ash said before her & Tony both bursted into laughter. "I would never date this jackass! He's my best friend." She said as she walked back towards my bed.

"Yeah, & I don't date dumb girls.. So Ash is off of my dating list." Tony said as he sat down in a chair accross the room. He put his snapback over his face & eventually fell asleep.

"Soo.. What really happened Kat?" Ash whispered, making sure not too wake Tony up.

"Vic.. uh, kissed me."

"VIC KISSED YOU!" She yelled, she didn't mean too, but she did. & Loud enough too wake Tony up.

"Who did Vic kiss?" He said, wiping his eyes & walking over too us.

"No on-" I start saying before I get interupted.

"VIC KISSED HER!" Ashlee yells again.

"Ashlee! Stop yelling! Damn." I say glaring at her.

"Wait.. Vic couldn't of kissed you! You have too be kidding." Tony said as he sat down right next too me on the hospital bed.

"Well he did.." I say looking at both of them. "What's the big deal?"

"Vic.. Ugh, he doesn't date. Let's just put it like that." Tony said getting up, & walking out of the room.

"I think I shouldn't tell you.. Vic will tell you when he's ready." Ash said as she got up, & walked over too the door. "I'll be right out here with Tony, come get us when you're ready too go." She says as she slips out of the room. As I get up, to put on my regular clothes, I see my cell phone was put on the little side table, probably by my mom. I look down at it, I had 1 new text message. Even though I was scared too open & see his name, I did anyway.

"We need too talk. Meet up tomorrow after school?" The text read, I looked up at the name. It was the name I was hoping not too see on my phone. Vic.
