Chapter 10

I stared down at my phone, for what seemed like forever. I kept dreaming about him, but I thought that I had finally escaped from him. My thoughts were interupted by two tiny arms wrapped around my waist. I look down too see Selena, smiling up at me, with my legs in her arms embrace.

"Hi Selena! I missed you." I bend down so I'm her size & hug her back.

"I'm 5 now. I'm gonna be older than you soon Kitty!" She said as she ran out of the door. I look over too Ash confused.

"She thinks that one day she'll grow up too be older than us." Ash says walking out of the door too catch up with Selena. I look back down at my phone, I can't read the text now.. Whatever it says, it can wait until later. I turn off my phone & put it my back pocket. I run out too see Ashlee trying too get Selena still enough too strap her into her carseat. Aw, Selena was so cute.. It made me miss Lainey even more.

"Hey Kat. Do you want too eat dinner at my place tonight? My parents miss you." Ash said with a hopeful smile on her face.

"Sure. That actually sounds perfect, right now." I say, climbing into the front seat. The car ride back too Ashlee's was filled with Selena talking nonsense, & laughter from me & Ashlee. When we pulled into the driveway, we were greeted by Ashlee's dog that was on a chain out front.

"Oh my gosh! I completely forgot about Sky!" I say running over too cuddle with the dog on the ground. By this time, I couldn't care less about messing up my clothes or my hair.

"Kat! Stop acting like you're on meth & help me with this damn carseat. It's evil." Ash yells at me while trying too get the carseat too work. I walked over, & un-buckled Selena. I started laughing, while Ashlee just playfully glared at me. "Shut up Kat.. Just don't say anything." She says before she starts laughing. When we walked into the house, I was greeted with big hugs from both of her parents. Dinner was ready right away, so we all sat down & chatted for a bit. It was actually fun.. The first time I'ved had fun in what seemed like forever. After dinner, I helped Ashlee clean the dishes.

"Kat, the boys are gonna stop by & chill for like an hour. Is that okay?" Ash says putting the last plate away.

"Ashlee.. I don't know if I can handle seeing Vic right now. I'm not sure about what too think yet." I say, sitting down at the table. Ashlee joins me right after the last word fell from my mouth.

"Well.. Do you like him?"

"How am I supposed too know Ash? I can't tell what I feel about him, I just met him yesturday, but when I'm around him, all of my feelings go numb.." I slip out the last few words quietly.

"Sweetie.. Love doesn't have too take a certain amount of days.." She said looking at me, I don't know why she was so interested in this. It's not like she will get any benefit from any of it.

"Love..? Who said anything about love? I don't even know if I like him." I say scooting away from her.

"Kat.. He loves you. The way he looked at you.. That's the way he looked at.. Nevermind." She said getting up & going too the window. "& What you just said... That's how I know you love him. Just talk with him tonight, okay?" She said as she fled too the bathroom. Was she crying? Did I do something wrong? I sat there by myself for a few minutes, then the doorbell rang & Ash ran from the bathroom too the front door. That's the fastest I've seen her go in forever..

"Hi guys!!!" Ashlee says as she jumps onto Tony. After getting off of him, she greets the other three with hugs, but you can tell she meant Tony's the most. I walk over too the edge of the room, not really sure what too do next.

"Hey Kat! What are you doing here?" Jaime said coming over too me, giving me a hug.

"I was hanging out with Ashlee all day.. But if I'm intruding, I can leave.." I say backing away.

"Are you kidding? You're all Vic can talk about.." Mike said coming up too me, giving me a hug just as big as Jaimes' was.

"Mike.. I may be smaller than you, but I can still kick your ass." Vic said walking over too me. After he was done glaring at Mike, he gave me a hug. It seemed like it lasted forever, but I didn't mind it at all.

"Ew.. That's gross." Mike said walking over too the cabnet & helping himself too the snacks in it.

"Mike, don't hate just because he gets more ass than you.." I say, hoping that I was aloud too joke around with them. Everyone erupted with laughter, including Mike.

"I got you, Kat!" He said shoving a handful of chips in his mouth. After a few minutes of pointless talking, we all went down in Ashlee's basement too watch a movie. Me & Vic sat in the love seat on the side of the room. Then Ashlee laid on Tony on the couch.. I still don't know how they aren't together yet. & Mike & Jaime were laying on the floor. Vic put his arm around me. At first I hesitated & moved away. He looked at me, his eyes were so sad. I laid my head on his shoulder, & his arm fell in place again. Ashlee had put on this old movie, it was funny, but after the first five minutes, I fell asleep. I was woken by Vic moving away.

"Hey sleepy head!" Jaime said as he helped me up.

"Sorry, I didn't mean too fall asleep on you Vic." I said wiping my eyes.

"He loved it.." Jaime said as he started too walk upstairs.

"I didn't mind Kat, it's cool." Vic said as he walked up the stairs. I followed all of them, & saw the time on the stove. 10:50 p.m.

"HOLY SHIT! IS THAT THE TIME?" I say, finally fully awake.

"Yeah.." Ashlee slowly said.

"I have too get home!" I say grabbing my phone & walking out of the door.

"Wait! Kat, wait!" I hear a voice call from behind me. I turn around too see Vic running after me.

"The guys don't have too be home until later, let me drive you!" He said putting his hand around my waist & walking me over to a black car. On the drive home, Vic kept looking at me.. I knew sooner or later he was gonna say something.

"So.. Uh, I guess we should probably talk about the other day." He said pulling into my driveway.

"Yeah, I'm sorry I ran away, I just-" I started too say.

"No Kat, it's okay. I get it, you don't like me. But don't think that, that's gonna stop me from trying too make you mine. Ever since I first saw you, you're constantly on my mind. My heart beats soo fast when I'm around you, but at the same time my body goes completely numb. I've only felt this way one time before, & I got my heart broken.. I'm not gonna let that happen this time Kat. I need you.. I- I think I love you.." He said, after the last word slipped from his mouth, he came closer towards me. His lips meeting mine. We just sat there, in each other's embrace. It felt magical.

"Please Kat, give me a chance." He said, breaking the kiss.

"Okay Vic.. Okay." I said, smiling like an idiot, along with Vic. He gave me a tight hug, & kissed me again.

"I have too go.." I say, getting out of the car, & running up too my door. I try & sneak through the door silently, but when I walked in, he was right there..
