ABOUT:
Chocolate cookies are basic cookies with cocoa as one of main ingredient. Cookies are called biscuits in England and Australia, in Spain they're galletas, Germans call them kekse or Platzchen for Christmas cookies, and in Italy there are several names to identify various forms of cookies including amaretti and biscotti, and so on. The name cookie is derived from the Dutch word koekje, meaning "small or little cake."
Preparation Time: 10 mins, Cooking Time: 10 mins, extra 30 mins for freezing.
INGREDIENTS:
1)1/4 cup margarine or butter.
2)1 cup flour.
3)1/3 cup cocoa.
4)2 tablespoons oil.
5)3/4 cup sugar.
6)3-4 tablespoons water.
7)1/4 teaspoon salt.
8)1/2 teaspoon baking soda.
METHOD:
1)Cream margarine, oil, sugar and 1 tablespoon water until light and fluffy.
2)Mix in remaining 2-3 tablespoon of water and beat well.
3)Mix dry ingredients in other bowl.
4)Slowly, add dry ingredients to margarine mixture and mix until combined.
5)Refrigerate for 30 minutes to an hour.
6)Preheat oven 200°C (for 15 minutes)and grease a cookie sheet well.
7)Make 24 balls, put them on prepared baking tray and press a little or can also do drop cookie method.
8)Bake for 10 minutes, should be very puffy.
9)Allow to cool for 5 minutes on baking sheet, they will fall considerably due to the lack of egg.
SUGGESTION:
You can add your favorite nuts in batter.
