"Who were those people?" She asked after collecting their sixth signature.
After the meeting with Beatrice and her daughter Daisy, the four of them walked and she offered to sign up the paper. There were moments Rinna felt excluded and unfitted in their talks, it seemed that knew each other from long time, but she didn't know how. Beatrice was an almost mother and while she didn't know what that meant, she was sure Beatrice wasn't Kenor's real mother. But that left a lot of other questions.
The kindness reflected in Kenor's face while with them was unknown for Rinna, and she was left amazed of how Kenor could be really sweet some times. It was a shame, though, she wasn't one of his show-kindness people, and lived among the rest of the school, hated. Her curiosity told her that if she knew more about Beatrice and Daisy she will know what bugs Kenor so much about her. Was she lacking in something that they both had in common?
"I thought I already introduced them to you." There. That was the Kenor Rinna could recognize easily even miles away. Fortunately, they were just feet away and she could feel that obnoxious tone of him.
She shrugged, raising her eyebrows, "Well, but I don't know who exactly they are." She said, "You seemed to be very happy with them." She added up.
He just nodded, without giving any other reason.
After walking for some time, Beatrice had invited them to her house and had a cup of tea. Rinna and Kenor were fascinated by this because they didn't have breakfast. Tea was just a step before it. But even drinking tea Kenor, Daisy and Beatrice were like living in their own bubble. Rinna couldn't comment or say anything because she didn't know what they were talking about. She hoped that Kenor will have some kindness left after that tea-time for her, but he turned again to the grumpy aggressive guy she met.
They finished signing the eight line.
It was surprising that so long filling up lines, it was almost sunset. They were walking during hours and met almost every place in the Market. Now a little farer from it, Rinna recognized the streets a little better. The same brick buildings, the same wooden doors, the ice scraping in the steps of every walk side. Rinna pushed away her curiosity for Kenor's family and tried to figuring out where they were going.
Then she read the title: The Wood's Delights.
"Are we really having dinner here, or we will just collect the signatures?" Rinna asked, not a bit surprised if he just wanted the signatures.
"Oh, we are having dinner," He answered, "It will be a waste of trip if I come here without passing and eat in my favorite place."
She rolled her eyes, of course.
They entered, and the same small bell sounded as they swung the door open. The same waiter that attended them the other day was at the entrance, holding the same silver tray in his hands and offering a warm smile to both of them. "Welcome to the—" He paused when he saw who came by the door, "Ken!" He said, "Hey, what brings you here...?" His eyes darted next to him and saw Rinna, his face turned hard, then looked to Kenor bouncing his eyebrows.
Kenor rolled his eyes, "I'm working," He answered, "we're just having dinner today..."
Jay nodded slowly and smiled, "Ah, I see... so who's gonna pay?" He said.
Rinna grinned and walked forward, "He is," She answered him with daring eyes.
Jay laughed, she totally got his joke. Kenor didn't look up to any of them. "After you, milady," Jay said helping her to take off her coat and waving her to choose any of the tables. She decided to take the same one as the day they came with Leyla. Jay stared at her, watching how she sat and waited. Kenor stood next to Jay, "Oh man, you got this, you totally got this." He said.
