Chapter V

"She needs ice!" Trey ordered as soon as he discovered the wound on her ankle. 

  How long has passed? A half hour? An hour? Once in the simulator it was hard to remember the time. Rinna kept looking for the other students, but there was none of them. She looked around trying to find any connection in the situation. Some Gulders came to her with the same questions. What was it? How did it look like? How did you went out? How were the creatures? Same questions that she answered with the same answer. Horrible, horrible, Leyla killed the last monster, horrible.

  "Ouch..." She murmured feeling the ice on her wound. Trey moved it carefully to not let it hurt her again. He took some bandages to cover it up. She stared at him, how he was healing her wounds, still feeling his hands shaking in worry, "What happened, Trey?" She finally decided to ask, now that no one will explain it to her.

  He stopped using the bandages to think about his answer, "The portals looked strange, they started sparkle," He said, "the only ones that could see what was inside were the instructors, they suddenly exchanged glances and started murmuring. All the students noticed that something was wrong. When Ms. Dragonia tried to enter one of the portals, this started to shine violently and pushed her back." He shook his head, "That's when the students stared panicking. Ms. Dragonia sent Mr. Ratoo to call the Special Gulders for help, we all witnessed of how she turned her wolf in a big wild beast and sent it into one of the portals, to see if she could take the students back. It came through without any problems."

  "That's because Dandelions usually have some connection with the Shadowland..."

  Trey raised her look again, his eyes still worried, "Exactly. That confirmed Ms. Dragonia suspicious of having the Shadowland taking the simulators to shut them down." He sighed and kept covering her ankle, "All the students went crazy when it passed the first half hour and no one came out. Ms. Dragonia used her white magic several times to re-open the portal, but every time she ended up pushed and thrown away."

  "So..." She wondered, "How did we come out?"

  He tied the last bandage before looking her up again, "We don't know yet." He said, "Everyone was so surprised because you both could come out." He sat next to her, "But, all the students are talking about how this was connected with the Shadowland. Everyone is panicked." He paused, "You think...this is because the empress is sick?"

  She stayed silent, coincidentally thinking the same, "I think... I think is a sign, Trey, even if they don't know about her sickness, they now know there's something wrong."

  They stayed in silence, until they heard some noise in the first portal. Everyone held their breath while they looked at the portal shattering and trembling. A moment later, the partner of Kenor flew out and was followed by Kenor crawling out until laying in ground tired. Both were breathing uncontrollably and both completely tired. The first student seemed to be hurt badly on his head and the Gulders carried him away immediately. Kenor was attended by some Gulders as well when minutes later he didn't move from the floor. People started saying that he fainted.

  Rinna watched everything in detail, realizing that maybe Leyla and she were lucky, Kenor seemed to be horribly tired, no severe wounds, but he had fought hard to end up like that. What was their version of the story? What did they see? The creatures were different? She wouldn't, in fact, she didn't want to know. Right after that, the third portal started trembling and the wild white wolf came out with other two students on his back. This was the first time Rinna saw Bolt in that size. It didn't just change his size, but some features. He had blue stripes on his head hair, and he kind of looked like a big white lion with fluffy tail.

  The two students didn't seem to be harmed, and were taken just to interrogatory with the Gulders, the rest were just standing there making gossips and trying to find out what really was happening. Ms. Dragonia and Mr. Ratoo announced that the class was going to end and all the students must return to their classes, except for the six students that entered the portals. Trey obviously needed to go back to class, while Rinna was going to pass to the nurse and see how Leyla was.
