Hello, everyone! I wanted to take some time off and wait out the events for the future of Eden's Garden, as far as the finale at least. 

However, as you know, things didn't go as planned due to leaks, and even that opportunity to give the project a proper sendoff was taken away from the team. 

Information is being given about the plot and context of what had been planned out thoroughly, and there may be a full document going through how the story would have progressed and concluded.

So as you know, this story is canceled. I've been putting off finishing Chapter 1 for a bit because of my motivation and other factors of what's going on in my life. Needless to say, everything that's happened has completely killed my desire to continue writing entirely.

Matteo is a character I first made all the way back in high school, and this story was meant to help come up with ideas for his development and interactions with the cast, but he soon became so integrated with the others that I actually started to see him as part of the world, too.

I don't know if I will ever decide to rewrite this story at any point in the future after everything, but for right now, this is where things end. 

Now, regarding what was planned for Matteo during the events of Chapter 1, I'll give you the full rundown of what has and what was meant to happen (they might've been edited following new revelations about the plot in a time when the project was fully completed):

- What happened between 'The Star Student' and 'Blackmail and Bonding'?

Ultimately, Matteo had been able to discover the secret and unlock the Traitor Perk, but he was unable to acquire it due to Eva having proceeded to acquire it before him. Tozu informs him of how the perk was already claimed by someone else. Tozu also mentions that a death is almost certain, and it's only a matter of time.

Matteo draws his own suspicions regarding Eva being the one to receive it, and seeks to preserve her as a person of interest. He essentially tries to wager his handicap as a star student in a bet that if he could kickstart the game before the one with the perk acted, Tozu would have to suspend the perk's hypothetical time limit. 

Matteo deduces this, but Tozu doesn't confirm anything personally. In spite of this, he agrees to his bet.


- What happened with Wolfgang and Matteo at night?

After Matteo reveals to Wolfgang that he has his blackmail letter,  he essentially probes Wolfgang like before as he panics. Matteo intimidates him as he breaks down all the possibilities of his blackmail note's meaning, and Wolfgang teeters on the edge before he finally snaps, taking out the knife he had prepared, stabbing Matteo in the center of his chest, only being stopped from inflicting a fatal injury because of his Nano-Belt arms shoving him away, leaving Matteo staggering in surprise, but mostly in pain as the knife is still hanging from his chest.

Wolfgang feels a rush of guilt over what he's done and fears that he's becoming like his father, seeing the look in Matteo's eyes as he has the knife in his chest. He profusely apologizes and tries to help Matteo by bringing him to the infirmary in the pharmacy area to help bandage his wound. Matteo's perplexed, but doesn't care for his cheap apologies and simply states that if Wolfgang doesn't want anyone to know, he'll need to follow his directions from now on.

Because of the wound, Matteo has dizzy spells due to minor blood loss, and has covered up what happened with an 'unexplained fever.' Thus, he needs painkillers so that the others don't expect anything, and has his jacket zipped up to hide any blood seeping through his bandages and t-shirt.
