The boy woke up after a rough night sleeping on the sturdy and uncomfortable rocks. He greeted his enemy as if they were both ancient friends. The boy ate the food left by the caretakers as his first thing to do in the awakening. After swallowing everything, he sat on his favorite corner and waited for the beaming lights to come in sight. Occasionally, lights squirmed in through the cracks of his chamber to also greet the little boy and he doesn't mind at all. He waited for those the same way he waited for his friend. After his first days, he came to the conclusion that those lights came from the guards who realized their shifts of inspection; but before that understanding, he believed foolishly that those lights were fellow guardians that came to protect him and feed him their essence, which he devoured with such pleasure. Moments later, the lights made their way through the cracks and flashed on the boy. The boy covered his face, but then he embraced the luminescence and enjoyed every moment they stayed. It wasn't long until the brilliance departed and the boy was left alone, again. Soon he would begin to explore his chamber, which contained different interesting things. The boy went for a drink at the little pond that had a stream of fresh water, somehow.

The boy heard a scream. A particular scream he hasn't heard in a while. It was a feminine scream and either way, the scream alerted him. He quickly scurried towards the cracks and tried to dig some out. He wanted to see where did the scream come from and once he pulled out a big rock a few others crumbled down with ease, but not gracefully. His crack in the wall was more efficient now. He saw a slanted bridge in the distance with lights slowly going below to the end of it. The scream came from there and the boy feared it was a new person. The boy felt sorrowful at the view. He motioned himself towards a corner and sat. The boy sensed hatred impulse its way into his heart. He did not enjoy how they sent people here to suffer. Why can't we live in a world where we all belong? The boy tried to sleep again to skip the time. He waited for the next shift to see the beaming lights once again,

then he smiled at the thought.
