CHAPTER 7 *Unedited

VII

Christopher

Christopher knew who this 'friend' was. He watched the small smile on her face as she worked on his hand with deep concentration. Jai had already made a move and he was playing with fire. Violet couldn't be his mate, it was impossible because Ella was destined to be his and was taken away many years ago.

They all silently blamed him for her death, there eyes accused him of something he wasn't entirely to blame for.

Christopher, Lucas and Jai all studied in the same schools and college whilst their fathers peacefully ruled the packs as they prepared to take over. But all failed when they met Ella. She was a normal weres daughter and belonged to the Dwayne pack. Her long brown locks and plain brown eyes had caught every males attention. If only Christopher had known she was Jai's.

He was young and careless and thought his masculinity would show through the amount of girls he bedded. How wrong he was. When the school year had started Jai was taken out alongside Lucas to complete the first parts of the Beta training. Jai hadn't even set eyes on Ella, it was Christopher who set eyes on the innocent girl and he wanted her. He had wormed his way into her heart with charming words but she didn't break.

"Christopher I really like you, but you have to understand we are wolves. We are destined with one only and you are not him or I would have felt it." She had said.

But Christopher had lied. When he wanted something, he got it.

"I am you're mate Ella. You won't feel it just yet, we need something to trigger your silent wolf,"

Thinking back, he was disgusted in himself.

But he kept reminding himself that Ella should have known. She shouldn't have blindly trusted any wolf especially a hormonal teen Alpha.

He was naïve and he was sorry.

He and Ella had spent a lot of time together in Jai's and Lucas's absence. She would often come to the alpha's home to spend intimate time with him and had given what she had planned to give only to her mate to Christopher.

Jai had returned from his tough training soon enough and ran through the large house shouting to Christopher about his training and how many times he beat Lucas to the ground. He rushed into his room uninvited to see Christopher laying on his bed grinning whilst a girl stood rushing to get her cream dress on.

The floral scent hit him too soon and he gasped as the girl turned to look him in the eye. A look of shame lingering in her plain eyes.

Jai had lost all control that day and grown to hate the man he saw as his brother all in a sum of few hours. Everything had fallen to pieces.

Christopher could remember the night he was entertaining another girl and Ella had walked on him and had said he played her.

She had fallen in love with him and wanted him to mate her, but Christopher had laughed and refused.

That day news had come to the Alpha that a girl in Dwayne pack had killed herself, leaving behind a note.

I'm sorry Jai, but I had fallen for him. I wish I had met you earlier.

Love Ella

....

Violet Johnson.

"There, all cleaned and wrapped up Mr Dwayne," I stated as I moved towards the basin to remove the plastic gloves and wash my hands.
