"Two flowers?" I asked as Luke took a seat from across me. Never was I going to admit to him that I actually did miss is annoying company yesterday. That was something he could survive without knowing.

"Yeah, I have three to tell you about." He said breathlessly as he quickly took a sip of the lemonade. "I'm really sorry about yesterday by the way. I was literally out the door to come and I got called into work. If I had your number-"

"Not gonna happen." I said before he even had the opportunity to put it out into the universe. "It was a decent attempt but it's not going to happen."

"Fine." He sighed and pushed the flowers up to me. "I'll tell you about the flowers. The one yesterday was called the uh..." He bit his bottom lip and tapped his chin. "That one was the white egret flower and th-"

"As in the bird?"

"Yes, as in the bird." He nodded. As he started playing with one of the flowers. "Now be quite before I forget these names. This one," He said hooking his index finger around the stem of a lilac and orange flower. "is called the bell mimosa. At least that's how I think it's pronounced."

"That's a weird name for a weird looking flower." I said as I brushed my fingertips over the flower that basically looked like pieces of string were coming out of a ball.

"I know." He said as he started fidgeting around with the stem of the other flower. It had white leaf looking petals with pink frilly stuff in between. "This one is the Bitterroot. This one is really pretty."

"It really is."

"So." He said clapping his hands and leaning back in his seat. "Tell me about this muffin." He picked up one and took a bite from it.

"It's a pumpkin doughnut muffin."

"Sweet!" He said before a mile broke out on his face. "Pun intended." He chuckled and I slowly shook my head. I really didn't find it that funny.

"Get it?" He asked and I nodded but he still decided to explain the joke. "Because it's a pumpkin doughnut muffin so it's exactly like a doughnut and doughnuts are over in sugar." He said and I just smiled at him. "And sugar is sweet."

"Yeah, I got that Luke." I said as I took a bite out of a muffin. "So, are we staying in today or?"

"We're going over to the park and this time we're taking my car."

"Why?"

"because I said so." Luke said rolling his eyes. "As soon as we're done eating we're doing to leave."

...

"We're seriously flying a kite?" I asked when we settled down at the park.

"Yup." Luke said with a grin. "It's been ages since I flew one and I just... I wanted to. I was going to do this yesterday but we all knew how that turned out." He said he held onto the kite and motioned for me to hold the other end.

"How come you get to hold the kite?" I asked and he shrugged.

"I'm taller and it's my kite so I get to hold it." He said simply. "You just stand there and look cute. It's literally your only job. I'm gonna run for a bit and try to get it up."

"That's what he said." I said before throwing my head back and laughing. Luke however, did not look very pleased with my joke.

"Yeah, but not to you." He countered and my laughter stopped right there I and I glared at him.

"You are aware that you literally just implied that the guy doesn't need to work on getting it up with me right? So if you were going for an insult you did it wrong."

"Yeah, well shut up. I'm gonna go try get it up now." Luke mumbled before jogging a bit with the kite held over his head but when he let go the kite just fell to the ground because;

1. There wasn't really any wind and

2. He didn't have a tail attached.

I was going to point it out to him but he was being all cocky about himself so I decided to see how long he would try before giving up.

An hour later the wind had picked up but Luke still wasn't having the best of luck getting his kite in the air. Every single time I tried to help him he kept saying he knew what he was doing so I just left him alone.

He finally gave up a few minutes ago when he was tired and out of breath and when he dropped down next to me I mentally counted to one hundred before deciding to speak.

"Luke?"

"Elsa?" I unconsciously smiled at the name he had given me.

"I know why the kite didn't go up." I said and he groaned in frustration. I was pretty sure he felt I knew nothing about kites so I was going to enjoy what I was about to reveal.

"Why?" he asked looking up at me.

"You didn't have a tail on." I said and Luke sat up quickly so he could inspect the kite.

"And you knew this the whole time but decided not to tell me?"

"I did try telling you but you were all like "oh look at me I'm a giant I can get the kite up on my own" so I just let you."

"I don't sound like that." Luke grumbled as he stood up and picked up his tailless kite.

"Where are you going?" I asked scrambling after him when he started walking away.

"Back to the coffee house. I need to drink my shame away."
