"Hello day seven." Luke sang as he slid into the seat next to me. I scrunched my nose up as I saw the pale coloured flower he had today. It was safe to say it was the ugliest of the set. I wasn't even ungrateful or anything. I mean; saying it was less pretty tan the others was being a bit too nice. It was simply the ugliest thing I had ever seen.

"It flew by so fast." I said honestly. At first I was dreading having to endure Luke's company for ten days while he attempted to change my opinion about him but as the days went by they didn't seem so bad.

I wasn't sure if my opinion on him had changed but I low key enjoyed these last few days.

"Yeah, so before I tell what I have planned for us today I have some things to give you first." He said and I raised my eyebrows at him. "But I need to ask you something first." He said and I nodded, letting him know that he could continue.

"Are you big on sports?" He asked and I raised an eyebrow at him.

"What kind of sports?" I asked and he shrugged.

"I don't know... just, sports in general. Are you a fan?"

"Yeah...." I said dragging the word out as I tried to figure out where he was taking this.

"Good. That's great." He smiled and I nodded. He still didn't give me a clue as to why he asked and I guessed I'd just have to wait. "Now, I've got three gifts for you today."

"Is that so, Lucas?"

"My name isn't Lucas. It's Luke, just Luke." He said with a glare and I laughed.

"What do you have for me just Luke?" I asked and he pushed a pocket knife, a bottle of pepper spray and the ugly flower up to me.

"I don't think I know this game." I said in confusion as I stared at the items in front of me. Luke shook his head and laughed softly.

"Just hear me out okay?" He asked and I just nodded and waited for him to continue. "So like, I know I said that I don't really want to do this ten days thing in this shitty place." He began and I nodded and he took that as his cue to continue.

"I was kind of running out of things to do so when we're done here you're going to go get your muffin flavour of the day then we're heading back to my place."

"I am not that girl." I said and Luke frowned at me, confusion written all over his face. It took longer than usual but he finally caught up to what I was saying.

"No, no, no, no no." He said way too many times. "Are you suggesting that I was implying that we were going over to my place to have sex?"

"Isn't that what all guys mean when they use that sentence?"

"That was literally the last thing on my mind!" Luke argued and now it was my turn to be confused.

"I'm lost."

"This is where all this comes in." Luke said motioning to the items on the table. "If you had just kept quiet we could have avoided that entire conversation just now."

"This is the flower of the day." He said pushing the ugly flower towards me. "It's called the indian loctus and the oldest one ever is like from these thirteen thousand year old seeds found in china."

"It's pretty ugly."

"Well, yeah." Luke said with a shrug. "That was kind of the point. I mean; not everything is all pretty and amazing. There's some things that can be very disgusting and ugly and this flowers symbolize that. I hate that some people tend to forget that life isn't all nice and sweet. It's not always a bed of roses; it gets pretty shitty and people seem to not remember that it can then they throw a bitch fit."

"So you got me an ugly flower to tell me that?"

"Yeah, that and I just wanted to be different. Who's says that when you give a girl a flower it has to be a pretty one?"

"Uh, everyone with eyes." I answered sarcastically and Luke just smiled at me.

"Now, the pepper spray and pocket knife are also for you. I figure since you probably still hate me and find me kind of annoying you would probably be hesitant to spend time at my apartment."

"I don't n-"

"Let me finish." Luke said and I just nodded and motioned for him to continue. "I literally just want to watch a few movies with you. I was thinking of pulling like an all nigther or something like that. This is where these babies come in." He said as he picked up the bottle of pepper spray.

"How do I know they're not like... rigged or something? I mean you could just be saying all of this so I can go back to your place."

"It's real, look." Luke said as he uncapped the pepper spray and shook it a bit. He sprayed a little on the inside of his wrist and immediately winced as the skin reddened slightly. My jaw dropped and I grabbed his hand and pulled it closer so I could get a better look.

"Why would you do that?" I asked as his hand continued to get a bit redder and Luke's eyes started watering. "Does it hurt?" I asked and he nodded immediately.

"It's not as bad as you think though." He said as he took a deep breath and pulled his hand out of my grasp. He shook it a few times as if the action would ease the pain before his eyes settled on me again.

"Go get the muffins, Elsa." He said and I smiled at the name. "We need to get going."

so! story time (if you actually care)...

last month the gooey liquid in my phone decided to be a bitch so now I can't see half the screen but I was all like, "I literally only text 2 people and I can't talk to them elsewhere; I don't need my phone, I have my tablet."

hahahaha

I wish!

Today my tablet decided to face plant onto the floor and the gooey liquid also decided to be a bitch and hide 49% of the screen so now I technically live in a cave.
