Hi, I'm Calum. I play the bass of the band.
For months, we've been touring around the world non-stop. Every night is another night to rock out and when I wake up, I'd be in another city. Yeah, pretty tiring but this is what we do. This is what we love to do.
For a short span of time, we've encounter a lot of things. Happy, exciting, horrible, sad. But nonetheless, we've managed to stay as a band and stay who we really are. Michael, my bestfriend, have been through a lot lately. Yep, he actually announced to the world that he's having some mental problem but he's getting it fix. Besides, Michael is a trooper and we know he'll get through of it.
That is why we actually decided to take a lenghty rest for the band, specially for Michael. And now, we're on the plane back to Australia.
"Hey, Michael!" I called out to him. He's sitting across the plane with Ashton whose asleep. He's been staring at the window for a while now. "Are you okay mate?"
He just looked at me and nodded. "Seriously though, are you really alright?" I repeated.
"Yeah, yeah. I'm alrigh though." He answered and laughed a little. Its a relief actually, to hear him joking again even if that's not the way he used to joke around. I just smiled at him and sit back again.
Luke is fast asleep beside me with his mouth slightly open. He's probably very tired because he falls asleep right after we take off.
John, our manager, who is sitting in front of us with Dave, our bodyguard, stand up and look at me. I meet him with a puzzled look. He mouthed "10 minutes" and took his seat again.
10 minutes before we land. And now, we are finally home.
After a while, we've meet our familes at the airport. Mum is waiting with Mali together with Karen, Michael's mum. Liz, on the other hand is waiting with Jack and Ashton's mum.
Karen, flashed a loving smile at Michael the moment she sees him. Michael walks a little faster to greet his mum.
He hugged her really tight before he lets go of her. "Missed you Mum." He said. "Awww. I missed you to Michael." And kissed Michael on his right cheek.
Luke, Ashton and me looked at each other and smile. We know that, Karen will take care of Michael.
We then meet our family and head back to our own home. Its a long way home, yes, but at last we are now with the people we really belong.
