After dinner I took a shower and all I could think was: thank god it's friday. I decided I could use some distraction so I called Eliza.
'Hey Lace, what's up?'
'Not much. Just wondering if you want to go shopping tomorrow.'
'Sure. Tomorrow at 12 o' clock in Starbucks?'
'Ok, see you tomorrow, byee.'
I went on my computer but got tired after an hour, so I went to sleep.
That night I didn't sleep a lot. I dreamed about that one time when Harry and I were 5 and our parents took us to a petting zoo. The dream first went like it really happened: we were at the pigs laughing and chasing them. But then it became a nightmare. Harry started chasing me like a zombie, I tried to run but I didn't get ahead. When he finally reached me, he picked me up and threw me in the big trough from the pigs. I was soaked and looked up at him scared to death. His eyes were dead, just like all his feelings. Before I knew it he pushed my head under water and tried to drown me. Right when I was about to die because I couldn't breathe, I woke up. My breathing was heavy and I just wanted to hit something because I was so mad. I don't know why, but everytime I dream bad about someone I'm mad at them in real life too. I looked at my alarm clock: 10 am. I wasn't sleepy anymore and I knew my dad was already at my grandma's place just like he did every saturday, so I had the whole house to myself. I went downstairs to the living room and turned on the TV loud enough so I could hear it when I was in the kitchen preparing breakfast. I was pouring cereal and milk in a bowl when the TV caught my attention. The newsreporter mentioned One direction and I was curious why. I rushed into the living room and sat down on the couch.
'The advent of One Direction has caused a lot of chaos.' The newsreporter said. 'Dozens of screaming girls are gathering in front their house or following them in the streets.'
They showed some footage of them being followed, security guiding them to their cars and screaming girls in front of their house. Wow. I thought . I knew they were famous, but I never would've expected this. Now they were showing some photo's of the guys and I switched channels. I couldn't stand to see Harry's face because I was both missing him and angry at him. After an hour of watching random cartoons I went to the bathroom and got ready for a shopping day with Eliza. Outfit: http://www.polyvore.com/owl_be_there_for_you/set?id=67076923. I only lived five minutes away from Starbucks and I still managed to be late, I'm always late. When I got there Eliza had already ordered for me: a capuccino with wipped cream and cinnamon. I walked over to her and gave her a hug. I always hugged people to greet them. Some find it nice, some awkward and some really don't know what to do and just go along with it. But for me it's normal.
'Ready to go?' Eliza asked me and handed me my capuccino.
'Always.' We walked outside and I felt the cold winter breeze on my face, so I tightened my hands around my coffee.
We were shopping for over an hour now and I'd already bought way to much. I could afford it though. My dad had a pretty good job, so that meant I got a nice amount of pocket money. We went in our last boutique before we were going to take a break. I was standing in the mans section, that was upstairs, to pick out something nice for my dad because I thought he deserved it after I bawled him out last night. What I said was maybe not bad, but I always felt guilty when I even raised my voice while speaking to him. I realized I wasn't going to find anything here, so Eliza and I left the boutique. Or tried. The doors were from glass so we could see everything that was happening outside and we both couldn't understand it. There was a group of girls jumping up and down for god knows what and I saw cameras flashing. Eliza and I looked at each other questioningly, hoping that the other one would have the answer to the question we both had. What the hell was going on? We were curious and wanted to find out so we walked up to the door and opened it. Right then I heard a low man voice say: 'please, stand back and give them some space.'
But it was too late. Someone had pushed a tall guy wearing a kaki green jacket and a beanie over his curls which caused him to step on my toes really hard.
'Auwtch!' I yelled. Actually it didn't really hurt but it was more of a reflex.
He turned around.
'Oh god I'm so sorry. Someone pushed me.' He apologized. He didn't notice. But I did. And what I saw paralyzed me and made my legs feel weak at the same time. I felt my heart stop beating because of the shock. After a few seconds of staring in his green eyes he finally noticed too.
'What? No.. Omg. What? Lace?!' He stuttered. The way he said 'Lace', my nickname, and not Lacy. As if he knew me, but he didn't anymore. As if we were best friends, but we weren't anymore. As if I was special to him, but I wasn't anymore.
'H-hi, Harry.'
