Ice skating and hurtfull words

The next morning I was up pretty early, but my dad had already left for work so I was alone. While i was thinking about what I could do that day, the doorbell rang. Not having any clue who it could be, I walked to the door and opened it.

'What's up, what's up, what's uuup?!' In front of me was standing my brown curly haired best friend with her arms wide open and a big grin on her face.

'Why are you so happy?' I chuckled, letting her in.

'Because i'm taking my bestie ice-skating and she is going to tell me all about her fabulous date with the pretty damn hot Finn.'

'Ice-skating? Well may I say that is an excellent idea?' I joked.

'Yes you may.' She looked at me from head to toe. 'Why aren't you dressed yet? We should have already been on our way. Chop chop!' She clapped in her hands making me run upstairs to put on some clothes.

An hour later we were in the car on our way to the ice skating rink singing along to every song we knew. She demanded that I tell her everything that happened last night, so I did. I told her about the boat, that he was such a gentleman, the food was delicious and last but not least: we kissed! When I spoke those words she freaked out and almost crashed into another car. It took me a while to tell her about Harry's appearance. Not because i don't trust her but because it's hard for me to talk about him. Luckily she was very understanding and lovely, and like every good bestfriend would do she threatened to hit him in the balls with a baseball bat if he ever comes near me again. When I was about finished with my story I got a text from finn.

Last night was perfect. Do you wanna meet again? :) xx

I replied.

Yes it was! Sure, when? :) xx

How about today? xx

Sorry I can't, my best friend is taking me ice-skating. Tomorrow? xx

Yeah sure! Looking forward to it, babe :) xx

'Oooh a second date!' Eliza shrieked. 'You're so lucky!'

'Yeah I am. Come on let's go on the ice!' I laughed.

I got home exhausted. We had been on the ice for 5 hours when they finally told us they were going to close. They said, and i quote, 'beat it'. Since I was with Eliza the entire day I didn't want to text Finn too much because I didn't want her to feel left out, but I was home alone with my dad so no one was stopping me.

'So how was you date with Finn last night?' My dad grinned when we were sitting at the dinner table.

'It was good.' I couldn't help but smile.

'I guess a little bit more than good.'

'Yeah.' I giggled. My dad layed his hand on mine.

'I'm really happy for you Lace.' His eyes were twinkling as if he was the one who went on the most perfect date ever.

'Thanks dad. I'm going to meet him again tomorrow, probably around noon but i don't know when i'll be back.'

'That's fine sweety, have fun.'

My phone lit up again when I was getting comfy on the couch.

Babe, i'm so so sorry but I'm not gonna make it tomorrow. I have to help my dad with some stuff for work and he's insisting that I do it tomorrow. I'm sooo sorry, i'll make it up to you, I promise xx
